We choose Villa Sonia as we needed kitchen facility. I was on a diet and had to make our own food. The kitchen facility was very limited to a 10l pot and frying pan. We bought ourselves a new pot of normal size. The Villa is very rustic (read dark) surrounded by trees so no light can come in, and... More

My wife and I went there for our 6 days stay in Ubud. We extended our stay later, when we came back to Ubud, because we liked that place very much. The place is close to the center of UBUD, 20 min of walking distance, if you cross the monkey forrest. There is also a Hotel shuttle, operated 3 times... More

We stayed at sonia for 2 nights, it was so relaxing and quite place to rest after 14 hours flight trip to indonesia. The staff are so friendly, helpful and ready to do any request quickly. Bugs are common in bali but they are trying their best to control it so it's not a big deal. Breakfast is meal that... More

We recently stayed here with our 14 month old baby. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. They organised a babysitter for us for a very reasonable hourly rate, and she was fantastic (shout out to Kadek!). Great restaurants nearby (top spots include authentic Indian food a few minutes walk away, d'Warung for delicious local fare with a twist... More

The positives first 1 Excellent location near the quiet Monkey forest and yet walkable distance from Ubud market and main street 2. Excellent cooperation and politeness of staff 3. Picturesque balcony view 4. Amazing pool with no disturbance 5. Lot of storage A few negatives, nothing major though Room service should be on request 2. The flush was an issue.... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here, I only wish I could have stayed longer. There are LOADS of places to stay in Ubud and pleased we chose Villa Sonja. The staff are lovely, pleasant, helpful and always smiling. The rooms are very good value and really lovely. Food, including breakfast was decent. The Villa's are a 5 minute walk from the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in a garden suite while my sister stayed upstairs from us in a deluxe room. Both rooms were incredibly spacious and nice. The outdoor shower in our room was gorgeous. My sister's room had a lovely little balcony and a window seat in the room. Our room had a very large outdoor seating area with... More

My room was humongous. I felt a bit humbled by how much space I had for one person, whereas many locals live in much tighter quarters. I enjoyed the turndown service, it's been a long while since I have had that! The staff were great at assisting me with various tour arrangements and transportation. The location is such that I... After traveling Indonesia for 6 weeks, we spent our last week on Bali, with 4 nights in Ubud, staying at the Villa Sonia. The setting was lush foliage, with a wonderful arrangement of units, each one secluded in its own way. The infinity pool was a welcome after a day of walking around town in the humid and sweltering days.... More

Villa Sonia ticked all the boxes! From the moment we were picked up in Tuban by the hotel, on time, in a nice vehicle driven by a friendly and professional staff member, we had a feeling our stay at this lovely gem was going to be a good one. That was confirmed when we arrived at the Villas. We were... More
