I stayed at this hotel for four nights with my teens. It is a lovely quiet hotel. The staff were so attentive and helpful. If you want to stay somewhere off the beaten track then this is your place. You can walk into town but in the heat it's not too pleasant. The free shuttle service is great, they will... More

Returning to Alam Jiwa was just beautiful, reliving the peace and joy we first experienced on our first visit 18 months ago. The staff are wonderful, with a good sense of humour and nothing is ever too much trouble. We booked a different room this time, on the top floor but decided when we arrived that we really liked the... More

Arrived after dark, tired and ready to relax for our 7 night stay. We were greeted by friendly staff and a cool fresh fruit juice cocktail which was just what we needed. Our rooms were beautiful and spacious with an outdoor shower which was a novelty for us. We were greeted each morning with a lovely view of the rice... More

We stayed here for two nights in July in the Garuda room and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived through to our departure, the staff were just lovely and always wanting to help make our first experience in Bali the best it could be. The Garuda room was on the ground floor however our views were amazing... More

We stayed here on our honey moon for 5 nights. The accommodation is lovely and spacious with a nice pool and gardens. It is quite a way from Central Ubud meaning taxis are required and the hotel have a shuttle bus which is good for getting in but can be difficult when returning. The plus side is that it's nice... Just returned from a 4 night stay with 3 young children (6, 3 and 1 year). We had the Cendrawasih suite which was like a Balinese palace! It was across 3 levels with 2 balconies and open walled dining area. The most unique property we have ever stayed in. We went exploring the rice paddy fields just behind our room,... More

Not much to add to previous reviews over the years. The staff are just wonderful (hi Nick and Komang) and they just keep improving every year. I got sick from a dodgy meal (a local eatery) and the concern and attention I received until I conceded defeat and went to the Toya Clinic was amazing. We love the rooms, the... More

Another long overdue review.. Spent 2 nights last September at Alam Jiwa after the previous night at another Alam property - Kebun Indah. We were welcomed with a cool drink & then taken to our Deluxe Rice-Field View Room - Angsa. The room had a canopied king size bed & a small day bed which we used as a single... More

Our expreience of Alam Jiwa was nothing short of excellent. This authentic Balinese style of accommodation was exactly what my wife and I wanted. Even though they were fully book it was a quiet and romantic experience. The staff were so friendly, we were greeted with smiles every day and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean ,...
