Stayed here for 3 nights in August and as soon as we arrived, we were so happy. we stayed in the Cendrawasih house as we are a family of 5 and its magic. 3 levels with the top level open plan, the outdoor shower so tranquil. Beautiful kept gardens, and views over a small gorge and rice fields. The staff... More

This is an absolute gem of a place! Lush tropical gardens everywhere, with winding paths to each room/villa, terraced Lilly ponds and charming rice paddie outlook from all rooms. Watched the rice farmers carrying out their daily routine, I could even watch while showering! We had the best outdoor shower! Slept with doors wide open and listened to every chirp,... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. The children in one room with an extra bed and us nearby. Both rooms were really luxurious and nothing was too much trouble for the kind and helpful staff. Breakfast was fantastic and they were happy to drive us into Ubud every evening. Banana pancakes recommended for breakfast. Would definitely come back.

It's not your average hotel. It's a smaller facility with 8 rooms. All with magnificent views across wide rice fields in the clean, quiet village Nhuy Kuning which is the other side of the Monkey Forest from Ubud CBD. The staff make all the difference. Nothing is too much trouble. They just make your holiday perfect. I was there for... More

Stayed in Garuda room for 5 nights in July. We loved this hotel! The setting is very special and peaceful. Each room is very spacious and has a private veranda overlooking the paddy fields where breakfast can be served each morning. Our bathroom was really big with a bath and an outdoor shower which was nice although the pressure not... More

This is not your standard 4 star hotel. It is much better! The beauty of the people and the property are the reasons to stay here. If you want modern, look elsewhere. But if you want to feel like you have been to Bali, this is the place for you. Our upstairs room had a spacious balcony that overlooked the... More

We love the Alam properties and we're making our way through them; we stayed at 2 this time. They are just gorgeous with stunning breakfasts served wherever you'd like to eat them, afternoon tea supplied and coffee and tea all day. I love that they have a large water dispenser to refill your water bottles and that they don't serve... More

After reading quite a few reviews on TripAdvisor, I decided to email Alam Jiwa a week before my arrival in Bali to see if I could book a room. (You cannot book this hotel online.) I received a response back within a few hours. Sadly, I couldn't stay in the same room for all 3 nights. I stayed in Ganesa... More

Stayed here with extended family. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfasts are yum. The walk through the forest to Ubud is lovely. The rooms are gorgeous, sitting out on the daybed looking over the rice paddies with water trickling past and a cool breeze blowing is hard to leave.

Beautiful stay at alam jiwa. Great staff, gorgeous rooms overlooking rice fields and volcanoes. What a exceptional experience. I highly recommend this hidden gem. They offer free rides into and back from ubud at any time, excellent breakfasts and afternoon tea with homemade cakes.
