A great place for spiritual travellers with very positive energy. All you might need for self-reflection time. Vegetarian food is simple but very delicious. The home-grown passion fruit is the best in town. All the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful and always willing to provide with information about the areas. It has been really interesting to discuss culture, religion... More

Nice place, with a great energy. It s a small ashram, that alowds you to spend the day out, enjoying the rice plantations and Ubud. Try to get one of the smalls bangaloos and rent a scooter to have more facilities for transport.

Got to meet one of the major thought leaders of Asia, Anandji at the Ashram. Simple, sweet, kind and generous. Learned tremendously as my intentions for my short time. They have many areas for peace, quiet, and reflection. Rent a bicycle so that you can explore the grounds an rice paddies outside the ashram as well- gorgeous. Wish I had... More

I appreciated the availability of several guided daily meditation and yoga sessions and that participation depends on individual personal choice about involvement. No pressure. Well led As for the amenities, there is a shared refrigerator, hot tea available, and a small swimming pool with patio. There is a small restaurant, where one day prior notice serves modestly priced tasty Balinese... More

I spent 5 nights at the Anand Ashram and very much enjoyed them. The mediation starts at 6, followed by a cleansing fire session and Yoga. Those are the sessions that I attended every morning and loved the routine and the fact that you had all day to explore Ubud afterwards. Plenty of time for tours etc.. I also participated... More

I enjoyed my stay at Anand Ashram and meet lots of nice like minded people. I stayed in one of the front bush material huts and really enjoyed the outside bathroom. It would have been nice to have a rubbish bin and some seating. I asked if their was a chair for the deck and was told that most people... More

I cant begin to tell how amazing my 2 weeks at the ashram were! I felt so happy and energized after leaving this place... The place is beautiful and set on a peaceful location 10min from ubud center with a motorbike. The hosts Herny and Yuda are the sweetest and most helpful people you will meet, and they really get... This time, 7 nights meant being able to really enjoy the ashram ambience and the programs of daily yoga, chanting, evening kirtan and meditation. The kirtan evening was followed by a social gathering including the Kuta family of the ashram. Only disappointment was to find that several new buildings have been and are being built in the rice paddy that... More

Anand Ashram is very much a working spiritual space into which travellers are welcomed and treated with respect and concern. If you want alcohol, coffee, cigarettes then there are hundreds of other places to chose in Ubud. The day is structured around the work of the ashram whose principles are based on the imprisoned advocate for Interfaith harmony and rights... More

We loved it! We spent 5 nights there and we enjoyed the place a lot. The room is good and the staff is very friendly. It is around the rice fields and away from Ubud downtown, so you need to rent a bike to get to the shops and restaurants (5 min ride). The yoga studio and meditation temple are... More
