We booked 4 nights and ended up setting for 9. This homestay is a fantastic way to experience Bali and spend time with a lovely Balinese family who will do all they can to ensure you enjoy your visit. From start to finish we were treated so well by the family and were made to feel very comfortable. We booked... More

They offerres to help with our transportation, trekking and cooking class...we had ours already booked but they offer it all too. The is a really lovely little place in ubud, run by a very friendly and welcoming family. It is about 30mins to walk into town ( we werent brave enough for renting motorbikes!), so not very central, however the surroundings are beautiful. There is a little cafe/restaurant over the road, which unfortunately I cant remember the name, but has lovely... More

Although a little walk from the main hub of Ubud, this place was amazing. Putu collected us from the airport, waited around while we got money changed and was so friendly and welcoming that we felt totally relaxed. Me and my boyfriend spent 2 nights here, where we had a incredible sleep (we were in the cheapest rooms so the... More

If you're looking for a quiet and simple lifestyle / trip, this is a place to be. Experience the daily life of Balinese folks... cooking, farming the rice field, raising livestock, praying & attending local ceremonies. Pak Tut and his family are super nice people and they are all talented artist as well (musicians & Balinese dancers). Pak Tut and... More

My boyfriend and I spent three nights at this homestay in June 2014. It is run by a very nice Balinese family and has the sweetest little traditional houses with big terraces amidst a lush green backyard garden. The family took great care of us (especially being new to Bali and Ubud, it was really nice to have the help... More

We would like to give all our warmest recommendations to Pondok Permata. The wonderful host family did their best to make us feel at home and we had a wonderful stay. The place is a bit out of town, but they got us a motorbike, so it is no problem at all. Th rooms are also wonderful and freat value... More

A bit effort needed to get to the center but the atmosphere, quiet neighbourhood, and most of all nicest people wich care for me every single day - priceless :) quality to price is just superb. Owner's wife's great dish cooking... just delicious. In my opinion If I would ever again stay in Ubud it will be Pondok for sure.

+Beautiful, spacious "balinese-style" rooms with comfy beds and private terrace; there is even hot water; the owner and his family are nice people who help you where ever they can and they rent scooters/motor bikes at fair rates; the food (cooked by the owners' wife) is lovely as well and (compared to the restaurants in the center of Ubud) a...
