A return trip to this beautiful hotel. Gorgeous buildings, delightful setting but oh those steps!! Comfortable room. Loved the breakfast. Staff were very helpful and attentive, taking their job seriously. Loved the spring pool.. Easy walk to town. Every bit as beautiful as I remembered 3 years ago.

The wonderful ambience and warm hospitality of the staff at the Tjamphuan keep bringing me back with friends year after year. Every room has a spectacular outlook, however I prefer Banyon 2 or River 1 for the large size and special view of river and jungle. The spring pool with fresh water from the mountains is simply the best. Gusti goes... More

I just completed 10 days in Bali, Indonesia at the Hotel Tjampuhan -- and what a delightful place it is. Built into a steep hillside with many levels of rooms constructed in the old style (but with a/c and all other modern conveniences) and on a site full of lush vegetation and tropical trees, your stay here will give you... We were originally booked in here for two nights but loved this place so much that we changed our plans to stay for an extra night. It is only a short walk to the main streets of Ubud and they also offer a free shuttle every couple of hours. The rooms are very nice and surrounded by jungle as well... More

We spent a lovely 3 nights here in Bukit 1, and I have to say we loved it. The staff are geuniely friendly and not pushy as we have found in other hotels we have stayed in. Our room was beautiful, although the view we paid for wasn't exactly there, nevertheless we were both extremely impressed. Lastly, I have to... More

Stayed in Bukit 1 room and absolutely loved it. Staff were super friendly, Gusti the rooms manager was awesome and very helpful. Amazing landscape and quiet swimming pools. Good location and that part of the river that the hotel is facing is beautiful. Going to reccommend it to my family when I return home. LIke others have said there are... More

Amazing hotel with history but if you suffer from bad knees this is not the place for you.... Loved rhe atmosphere and rooms/view however the uneven stairs that were never ending were a huge drama for our family. Even breakfast was a struggle due to the stairs in the restaurant. Nice place to stay a day or two however i... More

Second stay for me at Tjampuhan. This time with my mum and two children. Absolutely love this place & was glad to get my fix after a few years since my last stay. The service, hospitality, scenery & price can't be beaten. Yes the bathrooms are dated but water pressure is good and how long does one spend in the... More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights during a 2 week stay in Bali. We had a wonderful stay there and this was mostly due to the staff who were extremely helpful and attentive. The hotel is the oldest in Bali and therefore some parts could do with a makeover but this adds to the charm... More

Resort Manager Astra runs a tight ship. He greets you personally in the dining room and nothing seems too much trouble. Our bathroom was a touch dated but the tiered jungly grounds of this place are pretty stunning views and are nice just to walk around. The dining room is purely spectacular. A cross between eating in a temple and... More
