Stayed here in July 2011. Rooms are set into a steep hill, so no one can see into the windows from paths below. We had a room without aircon, but it was lovely and airy with the large, open, mosquito-screened windows. The air flow kept the room cool. Breakfast buffet was fantastic - especially the banana pancakes and the omelettes.... More

We stayed here for 5 days followIng a 28 day cruise that ended in Singapore. We flew into Bali's main, modern airport. We had arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and drive us up to the lovely town of Ubud, in the hills of Bali. It's about a 45-60 min drive depending on the traffic.... More

Amazing place !! It took us 2-3 hours to take a round thought the property. It will give you feeling like you are living in forest hence by little river. Still no mosquitoes or bugs in room. Rooms seem old still well maintained. One of the best thing is though this place seems close to nature, it is in prime... More

We loved Tjampuhan and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed and spacious hotel. Our room was always spotless and the staff were very keen to help with finding activities for your day (bordering on over-eager at times). The spa looked nice although we chose to use other spas around Ubud which are much cheaper. Good location with lots... More

The hotel itself is very beautiful and topical looking. Everything is kept very clean and tidy, including the two pools and gardens. Breakfast was buffet style and quite good. The stairs weren't an issue at all, although if you had hip/knee troubles it may prove difficult. We stayed in Bamboo 4 (Superior Agung Room). It was clean, however the bathroom... More

My fiancé and I have been here for 4 days and we love it! Old style Balinese rooms with a beautiful view! The grounds are breath taking, but lots of stairs! The hot and cold spa below was very nice, pity you have to pay but not much :) we got a couples massage by the river, so relaxing listening... More

Recently stayed here with my boyfriend for 4 nights. If your room is down the bottom more would be great because you would be able to hear the river flow but our room was at the top and all night all you can hear is traffic so was hard to sleep. Bed was a little hard but it was big.... More

We stayed here as we were attending a wedding at the royal pita maha. This place is absolutely beautiful, from the welcoming and helpful staff to the river that runs at the bottom of the property. This place is where you want to be if relaxing and massages is what you'd like to be doing! The location is great as... More

My wife and I stayed here in 1998 and were delighted; that's why we chose it on our recent return. The results were less satisfying. The grounds are still lovely; the view is wonderful; the rooms are decent. But the big drop off was in the quality of the service personnel. The owners have now expanded to add three upscale... After a business trip to Nusa Dua we wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle. We spent a private day and night at the Tjampuhan to wind down and relax in a very quiet and beautiful place. We found exactly that. The spacious rooms are clean, a large bathroom, a safe, well-kept old furniture. The huge ground is... More
