We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Tjampuhan & Spa early October and loved the place. Definately a perfect place to stay if you want to relax and just enjoy the local environment. 5 nights was not long enough for us, our 10 year old daughter want to come back for 4 weeks next time, she loved it. Our room was... More

My husband and I always stay at the Tjampuhan because we love the bungalow-type rooms along the river rainforest. The staff are always so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. I believe that they are doing some renovating -- because our room was upgraded in that we had a new large TV and coffee maker. It's best to be in good shape... More

Set in a tranquil and beautifully landscaped tropical garden, the accommodation were attap-hut villas which had adequate privacy and removed from the comforts of modern life, especially with intermittent Internet access only in the lobby. However, our villa was located in the farthest part with uneven steps and paths that were minimally lit at night, which were not ideal for... More

We've been rather conflicted about returning here the past couple of visits, but eventually decided to return for the 11th time. As another reviewer said, it's the feng shui of the setting that is such a positive plus. Sitting on our balcony, looking out at the view across to the other side of the River, through the flowering trees with... More

First impression was waw "look at this setting" then the dissopointed kicked in. On our honeymoon and no honeymoon things were put in our room, our room was right next to the road so was LOUD and there was a rooster that would wake us up early. The staff were not helpful or very friendly. One staff member sat in... More

Such a beautiful old place, set in very stunning surrounds. It has a lovely feel to it. The accommodation is very roomy and more than adequate for a long stay. The only negative was no wifi in rooms, but thats also a positive of not checking emails! An easy 10 minute walk into main street, which adds to the journey... More

The hotel is located at the same site of the temple, make easy to visit. The accommodations are good, but not spectacular, need renovation. Breakfast is poor on variety, hotel bar close early. We had to leave the hotel very early in the morning, the staff was sleeping, so I had to go to the lobby to wake them up.... More

There's something so very enchanting about this old school, Ubud hotel. perhaps it has to do with the feng shui of being situated at the confluence of two sacred rivers. The way the hotel is tucked into the river valley gives it a protected, jungle-like feel - unless you're right at the top level (reception) where things start to get... More

I have recently stayed for a second time and will be back again Aug 2015....the rooms are roomy and well serviced, the breakfast is very good, the man cooking the eggs sure is the best.....the spa is sensational and the management went out of their way to help me when I had an incident with my bag getting stolen out... My family and I spent four nights at Hotel Tjampuhan Spa. It's just a ten-minute walk to the town center, and there is an hourly shuttle if you don't feel like walking. It is more a traditional-style complex than most hotels we've stayed in before, and this is part of its charm. We stayed in the Walter Spies House, built... More
