I have debated how to rate this small hotel just outside Ubud. For service it definitely deserves five stars. The staff are superb - knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and efficient. The spa is top quality with excellent massage therapists. The lovely restaurant overlooking rice paddies and a nearby village serves very good food at reasonable prices, and the breakfasts (included with... More

We stayed 4 nights in Wapa. The staff is very very nice and make you feel you are a VIP !. Very good breakfast. We had one dinner in the restaurant a bit pricy for the quality of the food ....Otherwise Wapa is a very quiet and magical place. You feel like you are the only customer in the place....except... We were welcomed very kindly by the wonderful staff with a welcome drink and refreshment towel. We got a tour of the hotel grounds and we even got a detailed tour through our own room/cottage. The room (Lanai Rice) was a cute cottage, with a small balcony overlooking the beautiful rice fields. We had a lovely bed, two big (almost... More

Travelled alone and spent 5 nights (in August) at the Wapa Di Ume and could not fault anything. From an efficient check-in, with apologies that I would be staying in a villa for the first night and moved the next morning. I had the Laini Rice Terrace for 4 nights and it was fabulous. The breakfasts were some of the... More

As a single lady travelling alone, Wapa di Ume was the ultimate resort. Luxurious and down to earth at the same time. Staff were very attentive and the massages were fantastic. Pool was beautiful, plenty of fresh towels and water was cool and sparkling. Balinese cooking lessons are a must do when staying here and a special Thank You must... More

What a wonderful "first-time" experience in Bali! This resort has around 20 individual villas set next to a rice field, with a tasty restaurant, relaxing spa, and a beautiful pool on location. My villa was sumptuous, with a luxurious bathroom and combo living room / bedroom. They have a cooking school onsite, which was very fun...I was taken to the... More

My husband and I stayed at Wapa di Ume for three nights before our more hectic week at Tanjung Benoa with a group of friends. We had a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the rice paddies and fish ponds. Yes there is construction going on, but it was at the other end of the resort from where we were... More

Sorry but there were virtually no rice paddies at this time of year, its all big mud pools because the rice has not grown yet. Plus we were next to the pool and only heard construction (chain saws etc) right next door. After hectic travel only wanted peace and quiet and certainly did not get that. The rooms were nice... Beginning the day with a nutritious tasty breakfast overlooking the rice fields served by very obliging staff at the Wapa di Ume Resort at Ubud was a perfect way to start the day. Relaxing around the pool complex, a massage, cycling through the villages and rice paddies, taking a guided walk through the nearby rice paddies, walking to the nearby... More
