You should absolutely stay here. I was a little worried about my stay because some earlier posts mentioned construction, but my friend and I went end of Oct/beginning of Nov, and we heard nothing but ducks and sparrows and the occasional dog barking while at the hotel. The views are gorgeous, the ambiance is blissful, the pool and food are... More

We stayed in Wapa in early July, and very much enjoyed our stay. There was some initial confusion about the room type. I'd booked and payed for a Di Ume Suite, but was instead shown to a Lanai Rice Terrace, which is a smaller, less expensive room. Fortunately I noticed the difference in rooms (compared to the pictures on the... More

This is classed as a resort, but in effect is spacious, smart and comfortable accommodation with excellent restaurant - have the Balinese banquet! - pools etc all surrounded by rice fields. The staff are helpful, efficient and friendly. It is ideal for couples. Families would be good too but I don't recommend it for under fives. It is situated a... More

Wow wow wow. We loved this place. So nice and quiet and amidst a stunning location of rice paddy fields and lush jungle. The staff treated us like we were one of the family and nothing was a problem at all. The free shuttle into town everyday was super convenient and they even did one just for us as we... More

The Wapa di Ume is a beautiful hotel, fashioned in the beautiful Balinese style, with stone and tile and lush landscapes. The rooms are well appointed and spacious and the staff are amazing - really amazing. When staying here, you are just the right distance from Ubud - it's close enough for a quick shuttle trip to town, but far... More

We stayed 3 nights and had a very good stay. On the 2nd day I woke up with a terrible toothache. The staff went to great lengths to help me find a dentist, brought me there and assisted me. On top they took me to Denpasar (1hour one way) for x-rays and absolutely did not want to charge me for... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in one of the newer pool villas. The room was lovely - very spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom, complete with sunken bath. A new hotel is being constructed behind the new pool villas and we did experience some noise on the first night. The hotel staff dealt with the issue very quickly,... More

Stayed here for 3 days and it was just beautiful. The service was impeccable, staff went above and beyond to give advice and go the extra mile. We took the cooking course, which was an amazing insight in to Bali cuisine. We were taken to the morning markets, which really shows you a different side of Bali, that tourists do... More

The resort is being expanded by a new wing, and rightly so because it is fantastic! Super friendly and caring staff, from the reception over the (free) room service up to the spa. They all do a great job with pleasure, which feels great. They even remember your first name, which makes it a very personal appoach. Free Wifi all... More
