This is a very cozy place, only a few minutes walk from central Ubud with its shops and restaurants, and also very close to beautiful quiet rice fields. It is a budget hotel, but our room was a decent size and actually nicer than it looks on their website. Our room was at the end of the garden, so it... More

We stayed here for two nights. At the last moment they cancelled our room and put us in a smaller room. When we arrived we were pretty surprised by how poorly the hotel was maintained. The property is dated, and required a lot of renovation. At night it is poorly lit, and quite creepy walking around, we needed a torch... More

We enjoyed very much to stay at Okawati because of the exceptional friendly staff, beautiful view and great breakfast. The room is very basic with nothing to disturbing you, and yet very beautiful decorated. It is easy to relax here... almost. Okawati was expanding and construction was unfortunately going on with the noise and sounds that follow. The neighbour has... More

I was going to book the Okawati and read the review about renovations and decided to look elsewhere. Then I got busy, misplaced my notes and booked the Okawati. (It was included on a list of good places to stay in The Guardian that I found on line). I am so glad my memory failed me because we loved the... More

We come to Bali often and I wound't stay anywhere else in Ubud. Yes, construction is going on with lots of upgrades, but the work being done does not impact your stay in anyway. WiFi is the most consistent we experienced on this trip to Bali. The staff is exceptional and will help find anything you might be looking for... More

Gusti at Okawati will knock you out with his sweet care. He was so good to us, organizing pick up, a driver for a tour and much more. He even booked our boat to Gili and drop off at another hotel in Sanir on our return from Gili.mhe phoned me at 6 in the morning at yet another hotel to... More

We have stayed at the Okawati a few times & have always found the staff very sweet & accommodating. This time however, there were renovations going on which we weren't told about. We booked 7 nights in the Buddha room, which is the most expensive with air con & was right next door to the renovations. The hot water wasn't... More

We have been to Okawati before and returned because we liked the authentic Balinese atmosphere and the central location in Ubud. We knew it was a no frills hotel but it made up for it in other ways. However we were not told that fairly extensive renovations were taking place, the construction for the new rooms and restaurant is literally... More

I read reviews and booked for four nights through Booking.com. The place is currently having badly needed renovations I believe.Reception was a desk in a garage type area full of motorbikes. Firstly there was no record of my having booked at all, luckily I had a screen shot of my receipt. After much deliberation and discussion between two staff we... More

We stayed only 2 nights in the Buddha room. Awesome room lovely statue of buddha inside and very comfy bed. Balcony was great and semi outdoor bathroom was nice. Breakfast was huge and loved it. The renovations/construction look like they will be going on for quite a while. The last night we heard ppl shoveling up until midnight which was... More
