In December 2012 myself and two other female Peace Corps Volunteers spent 4 days at the Oka Wati Hotel & Restaurant in Ubud. We found it very inexpensive, tranquil, clean, pleasant, and the staff are extremely nice and helpful. It was close to all the activity but also quiet with a nice pool. I highly recommend it.

Traditional building in a wonderful, quiet garden with huge and clean pool, located centrally with all Ubud sights like monkey forest, temples, market and boutiques and restaurants etc. within walking distance. Just opposite the hotel (beside the soccer field) you can rent mountain bikes, book tours (we warmly recommend the Eco Cycling Tour) and exchange money at a rather good... More

The Oka Wati Hotel is a quaint and traditional hotel. I believe in it's day it must have been incredible. I have read that there are upgraded rooms, however the room we were given was dark and in dire need of upgrading, especially the bathroom (ants everywhere) and a broken window repaired with red tape. There is a nice pool... More

Great staff and very accommodating for a cheap price. OkaWati is a wonderful woman, Her hotel is just in central Ubud and is beautiful. We were so happy with our first three nights at Okawati's, we ended our time in Gili T. and went back to Okawati's for 3 more nights. If staying in Ubud, Stay at Okawati's!

We stayed here in September for 3 nights. We found the hotel to be peaceful with lovely gardens and a really nice, clean pool. It's well situated in the heart of Ubud so very close to all the restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave us advice on our day trip out of Ubud. Breakfast was... More

Beautiful, garden courtyard, quiet setting off the main road, centrally-located, rooms are large and decorated with local art. Staff is friendly and attentive. Great value at about $60 USD a night. I would absolutely stay here again if I return to Ubud.

Right in the centre of Ubud but still well detached from the main road that tends to be quite noisy and congested. The stuff is friendly and the room as well as the surrounding are really suggesting. The room was clean, spacious and air conditioned. Because it is build around a garden there are plenty of insects. If you leave... More

We have stayed at the Oka Wati four times now. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Monkey Forest Rd, but right in the heart of the town when you want to go to dinner or shop. In the morning, you can have breakfast on your own private porch, or in the open air restaurant overlooking a rice... More

I can not say enough good things about the Okawati Hotel. The rooms are spacious on beautiful grounds...perfect location (right off of Monkey Forrest), However the area where the hotel is located is very quiet. Mrs. Okawati is the greatest! It feels like "old" Bali and the Team at the Okawati is always there from you. Breakfast is served in... More

Great place to be! We stayed for 5 days in room 9b, had breakfast on our balcony overlooking the swimming pool, just great. Very helpful and friendly staff, if you had a question they right away went for the solution. Swimming pool clean and well maintained. Garden lovely and overlooking a rice field, every morning the staff goes around and... More
