First of all, let me say that this is a very lovely property. At $70 you get breakfast, your own double story traditional hut, beautiful landscaped gardens, thatched roof, serene porch, oversized bathroom with tub and a huge living area with day bed on the bottom floor. As i am writing this I am having a lovely breakfast in Honeymoon... More

We stayed in Honeymoon Guesthouses for 5 nights, but in 2 different rooms as our first room was only available for the first two nights. Location of the hotel is pretty good, close to the market. The first room was large, and the verandah was fantastic. We really enjoyed it. They helped us in moving our suitcases while we were... More

Lucky we weren't on our honeymoon because this would have ruined the trip. Our planned six days in Ubud turned out to be 45 minutes while desperately searching Google for another room. I've been and stayed in Ubud before but this was one of those experiences I felt obligated to warn other travellers about. The pictures and descriptions on their... More

I stayed in Honeymoon Cottages 5 years ago and loved the atmosphere, the cooking school and proximity to Ubud while still remaining quiet. Visiting this time I was disappointed in the upkeep of this property, the daily cleaning,- the toilet wasn't even flushed.the breakfast cost $5 dollars to have on your balcony and the rooms near the street were very noisy.... I would consider myself quite a prolific reviewer and I can honestly say that I have had one of the best experiences here EVER. the room was stunning (villa 33) and the staff were so accommodating. The pool was like a little oasis and the cooking school so conveniently placed! Picture : delightful scents wafting around the entire complex every... More

Although I had a very brief stay this time (20 January 2015) it was really wonderful to return to the Honeymoon Guesthouse Bisma Room. The Bisma balcony is superb as are the gorgeous fixtures. I drew a suite of works overnight and really got in the creative zone. Of course I ordered Casa Luna's special chicken curry and enjoyed it... More

It became an habit between my husband and I when preparing our travels. Both of us are in charge of a part of the trip and we don't divulge anything, about hotels especially, to the other, moreover if the place is quite special. Actually, I didn't expect Honeymoon guesthouse to be that exceptional! I discover the hotel last spring on... More

After 15 years absence I was concerned that the charm of this hotel may have waned but that was not the case. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfasts delicious and the pool are lovely to swim in. We stayed in an un-conditioned room with mosquito nets and had absolutely no issues .. the fan cooling is perfect for... More

Just returned to Australia after a 2 night stay, and wishing I was back there! We stayed in the Rama room and it was very charming. The large shared balcony had a beautiful ornate roof, and doorway leading into the room with a mosquito net covered bed. My only complaint would be that there is no shelf in the shower.... More

I stayed here for 5 nights in late July and did an 'innovations in Pilates' retreat run by Anthony Lett at the resort. The resort is beautiful and well maintained! The breakfast and coffee are first class! The staff are friendly and always helpful. I stayed in a Hanuman room for 3 nights and then Surya room for 2 nights.... More
