I stayed here with my partner and two friends. We had a Bunglaow wich was a huge room reminiscent of dutch colonial architecture, the large balcony looked over the beautiful tropical gardens. During the day we opened all the windows and captured the amazing breezes. The only downside was the bath only had a hand shower, it just needed to... More

Everything from the beautiful gardens, rice paddy wetlands right in the middle of your cottages and peaceful atmosphere will make you feel unbelievable (for such a low price). The bungalows are designed exotic and elegant inside out (love the heart-shaped walk-in bath tub shower under sunlight/ moonlight)... Amazing buffet breakfast with the highlight of 10 types of gorgeous fruits, and... More

This our third trip to Ubud and we thought of trying another place. But after trolling the internet we and not finding anything better in the same price range we returned to Ananda. This place is clean, quiet, comfortable and has the most beautiful setting amongst the rice paddies. The breakfast is good, rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, all... More

We did not have any bookings and chanced upon Ananda Cottages as we drove by the main road (south) heading towards Ubud. The reception lady gave me a short tour of the compound and rooms available. I was impressed with the surroundings and peacefulness. Consequently, we took 2 rooms for 2 nights with ground floor balcony facing the small rice... More

This place was awesome to stay n highly recommend!! Was secluded but clues to main ubud area. Service was so friendly and welcoming. We really felt relaxed and cut off from the world. Our room was beautiful with rice pattie views and 3 pools we could choose from and so private. We want to go back. We had a lovely... More

The hotel appears to be stuck in 1988, no direct dial phones, no radio or tv in the rooms, our fridge stank to high heaven. Rooms are very dated, all dark, you must have the lights on during the day! The surroundings are unbeatable, amazing paddy fields and gardens, and friendly staff. Breakfast was like being back in the army,... More

Up on the hills surrounded by rice fields Ubud region is a must see and stay in Bali. Ananda is perfectly clean and calm with very helpful staff (just don't bother every one of them asking you if you need a taxi :)) Breakfast buffe is extreemly loaded with beauties Seen lots of yoga people during breakfasts, I think there... I stayed at Ananda for 3 weeks with my yoga group and it was OK. It is too expensive for what it is ! $110 a night when other cottages have 7 nights for $300. Ananda doesn't have mosquito nets in every room and they should ! There is mosquito infestation as well as lizards and spiders in the rooms.... More

Well worth staying! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Your rooms are cleaned early whilst your out. The gardens are beautiful and you want to have a good walk around. You are close enough to town but fair enough away with delicious food options all around. Taxi's and scooters readily available to take you anywhere or ask the staff to... More

A few days here was required to make an honest evaluation as first impressions (all together relevant ) can be and are often misleading, Ananda is a well run family owned enterprise that has tapped nicely into the Yoga retreat market. There are special buildings set up for the purpose, complete with PA system etc. Servicing large numbers of Yogi's... More
