Where to start... I try to stay in small hotels and B&Bs everywhere I travel and this may be the best one I've ever stayed at. Location: The Villa is located in the village of Payogan which is about 3 miles outside of Ubud. Normally, I like to stay within walking distance to the town center but this location was... More

Second time at Villa Saraswati somehow, miraciously, exceeded the first time. The staff are superb. From cooking, to room presentation, to local restaurant tips, to tour suggestions (if you ask), to taxiing you to Ubud, to dressing you to visit the local temple, each request is met with a metre long grin. Nothing is too hard. The place just works... More

I stayed at Villa Saraswati for four nights in the Peacock Room. I loved it! First, the design and decor of the property is gorgeous and luxurious. It's a very welcoming space. The room itself was great too. Spacious, quiet, clean - with every amenity you could ask for. Super comfortable bed, huge bathroom and my favourite - the decadent... More

We stayed there for 4 nights and I really enjoyed the location in a traditional Balinese village, away from the buzzling ubud centre. It was a prestige stay at a luxurious villa- with pure relaxation and comfort! Staff were courteous right at the moment when we stepped in the villa and they were professional and always attentive towards our needs.... More

Needing some "me" time, I decided to stay outside of Ubud for my first visit to Bali. I read reviews here on TA and spoke to friends who advised me that Ubud has become very crowded. I fell in love with the property even before arriving after reading reviews and taking a look at some photos. I arrived on my... More

Excellent place to stay for everyone. Very nice courteous people. They provide taxi @ very subsided rates, not only that they take you places were not other tourist visit. Beautiful villas build around so many trees. Host is very nice person with good knowledge of Bali and speaks good English. Very lovely family to stay with. Affordable.

This is a nice place to stay as it is removed from the very busy hustle and bustle of Ubud. The hotel provides a free shuttle to town several times a day so the distance is not a problem. You only have to take a cab back in the evening after dinner. The Lotus room was beautiful with it's three... More

Spent 3 days at beautiful Villa Sawasrati Only negative was the glass door on bathroom. Manager Komang and his crew provided superior service. From providing taxi service to attractions & restaurants to serving me coffee early AM after my workout by the pool & always with a genuine smile. Peaceful Relaxing. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for three nights and it was wonderful. This was my first trip to Bali, and I debated a lot about whether I should stay in town while in Ubud or just outside, and I'm so glad I chose this place. It was lovely to have a quiet, peaceful place to retreat to when I was finished sightseeing.... More

Just spent a far-too-short 5-day getaway at beautiful Villa Sawasrati...manager Komang and his crew provided superior service, from ferrying us to-and-fro attractions, shopping and restaurants to serving us cold drinks by the pool...always with a sincere smile. The on-call masseuse, Ketut, was absolutely wonderful, and we were able to charge her services to our room--a big plus when trying to... More
