I enjoyed my stay at Jangkrik! It was near to Yoga Barn (10 minutes walk), a supermarket, ATMs and restaurants. However, it's a bit of a upslope hike to Jalan Raya Ubud area. For the price you pay, I think it's a value for money accommodation option. The banana pancakes breakfasts are fantastic. My room was clean and cooling in... More

Best place to stay in Ubud. Really clean place and beautiful rooms. The breakfast in the following morning were delicious and gives you the power to visit Ubud all day long! I recommend 100% this place! Plus, the family (the owners), are the nicest persons I've met in a while. I enjoyed their conversations. All the best ;)

I had such a lovely stay at Jangkrik Homestay from mid-March to early-April 2014. I originally booked for 9 nights and then decided to extend for the rest of my stay of 3 weeks. It was the perfect location along Hanoman, just far enough out of the hustle and bustle of the cafes but very close walking distance to everything!... More

During our stay in Lombok we came across a Lonely Planet, stating the prices for staying in Bali. We were prepared to go over our low budget, but when we arrived by shuttle bus in Ubud, a man in traditional clothing picked us up. We told him our budget and he said that was his price. We walked 5mins and... More

Dewa approached us on the streets when we are busy looking for a homestay. We refused to follow him at first as we thought it might be dodgy place as he looks desperate in looking for a guest. Since the homestay is quite close to where we are walking we followed him just to have a look at the room.... More

I arrived here quite late after a delayed flight with their lovely driver, Dewa, and was simply shown to my room. It was really clean, comfortable and had everything a budget traveller would need (I.e. a nice big bed, toilet paper and a shower). I went out to find some dinner and within spitting distance is a large number of... More
