good location. near to the Palace in a very quiet and silent rice field area. room are clean and comfortable. good breakfast. what a shame for the rude and unpolite owner and staff. They say they didn't want prepare breakfast half an hour in advance of the agreed hour (7 instead of 7,30) ONLY because we didn't agreed with them... More

You can fall asleep to the sound of nature in the rice fields. Perfect location for exploring Ubud. Close to the main road and walking distance to all Ubud sights, including monkey forest. The family that owns Ala's is really nice. They made us feel extremely welcome. Room we stayed in was large and clean and they brought in an... More

What a great find in Ubud and definitely will be on our 'back to' list. Perfect location among the rice paddies for that secluded feeling but just a short stroll into the cut and thrust of the tourist precinct. Easy morning walk to the Yoga Barn and myriad other wellness options and tucked just back from Jalan Bisma with plenty... More

Traveling solo, and walking in off the street, it was a little higher than my usual budget but I thought worth it for the extras like tea and breakfast delivered, serenity and wifi. If you just want to sit and read etc, looking out over the rice fields, enjoying fireflies and frogs chirping the upper floors are ideal. It's close... More

What a great getaway! We were a family of three staying at Ala's Green Lagoon for two nights. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfy/clean/big and nicely decorated (traditional Balinese style). The location is absolutely amazing - surrounded by perfect green rice fields. Even though it is only a short walk to Ubud central, this hotel seems miles... More

We stayed here for the second time (also two years ago) and we really like this place. The views of the ricefields are amazing, the breakfast is good and the rooms are spacious and nice. The hosts are very nice but the family can be a bit loud ( we didnt mind). The pool is nice and overlooks the ricefields.... More

Good hotel. Clean and great location. The breakfast is ok, and served whenever you like. The pool is very small but useful to cool down after wandering around the local area. Pretty decoration. Ubud area is interesting. For a great and conscientious tour of local villages, check out JED tours.

I stayed her for 4 nights in June. This is a small, quaint hotel, that is pretty typical Bali. My room was upstairs overlooking the pool, it was big, clean, and light. Of course, things aren't perfect, as is often the case in Bali, but I really enjoyed being here. Staff can not do enough to help. Hot water for... More

I stayed here a few times about 5-6 years ago when it was under a different name. It's the same owner and family that owns and runs it. They still remembered me after all these years. The area has gone through some changes and the prices have doubled. It's a great place to stay if you are looking for traditional... More

Noisy, dirty, terrible breakfast, mosquito nets useless, water in tub smells of sewage, near very busy area clogged with traffic, sheets caked with detergent, pesticides in surrounding fields, pool water very dirty, toxic smoke from burning trash on both sides of hotel, petty overcharges on bill, manager snoops, not friendly.
