Overall the stay was good, with the room itself very comfortable and fitting the price point. I was in an upstairs room with it's own balcony, AC, lockable wardrobe and bathroom with towels. It was very clean and comfortable - however it was not in the main homestay compound but in the compound two doors up. This was fine as... More

Got off on the wrong foot from the getgo when money hungry "Mama" (a most insincere person) tried to put me in a downstairs standard (superior) room when my booking was for upstairs, more private 'deluxe!!??' room. I insisted in holding out for what i had booked and eventually did get nice room with good natural light - but still... More

From the moment I walked in to Sandat Bali, I was treated like family. The setting is lovely and the family goes out of their way to make sure the guests are happy. Deepest thanks and blessings to Mama Wayan, Papa Nyoman and Ary for their warmth and hospitality. I will return to Sandat for every stay I have in... More

I have got to say, never before have I felt so strongly about the service I have received at a hotel to write a negative review, but I feel that many of the reviews of Sandat Bali are totally misguided and there are some things, which other reviews mention, which must be emphasised. There are many other, kinder, friendlier places... More

Most excellent Homestay for the recent college grad, worldly young family, Euro-Aussie-Kiwi on a career transition, or the NGO/relief worker hoping for a little home comfort and R&R. Price point thankfully weeds out 18-21 year old gap year travelers looking to score all the cheap beer in a night, as all travelers were all at one point--but just not in... More

Sandat Bali is one of the best places I've ever stayed! I spent 2 beautiful weeks there, rooms are brand new, super nice and clean. You have your own balcony which is also nice. You have your privecy but still hosts are always there for you. You can always ask Mama for a coconut and Papa does great reflexology at... More

My wife and I stayed 4 nights. First impressions were a bit mixed. The business has very recently expanded from a small homestay run by Mama and Papa, to a small hotel managed by their son Are who has worked in other hotels previously. Rooms are new, but some of the amenities haven't caught up with the advertising hype yet.... More

Mama and Papa welcomed us with open arms like family. Papa's reflexology lived up to its hype, and Mama was always making sure we're alright whenever we saw her. Their son works at a nearby resort but helps out at Sandat as well. He makes a mean breakfast! In fact, we loved our private breakfast on our balcony. We paid... More

I had the most amazing time studying in this special city for a month, and it was even more special because I found Sandat Bali and everyone that works there, I felt like I had a family, and I will bring them with me forever, all the staffs are so lovely. I felt like home, the place is beautiful, very... More
