My wife & I spent 2 nights at this great little home stay. Loved our time there & could easily have stayed longer. Papa Nyoman was wonderful with his reflexology, his art and his stories. Mama Wayan was lovely. Welcomed us like long lost friends. Introduced us to the staff who were also wonderful. Son Wayan (Ari) & his wife... More

We really were not sure what to expect. We were blown away. The rooms are clean, the service very friendly. The communal breakfast table is a great way to meet travellers from all over the world. The onky tip: bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The roosters get restless!

Okay, this is not your five star hotel, neither it is a new, trendy, budget hotel. Yet, it does give you all you need in a hotel. My second floor room is spacious and have a great view, and pleasant enough to be in it without AC - although the room does gave an AC. The location is near the... More

Mama's homestay is really lovely. The rooms are amazing, very clean and the beds are super comfy. We also liked the breakfast, especially compared to other places in Bali. We also took Mama's cooking class and prepared some really nice dishes. However, keep in mind that Mama is a real saleswoman trying to intervene in every activity you want to... More

this place is conveniently located near the center of Ubud yet quiet at night (except for the roosters). the have enlarged the place considerably this last year but it still has a family atmosphere event though it is now more of a little hotel then a home stay. The quality of the rooms are exceptional for the price, especially in... More

Sandat Bali is located in central Ubud - walking distance to the many restaurants & shops in Ubud. Sandat Bali has a friendly vibe with friendly chats with your fellow travellers over breakfast at the communal table. The included breakfast of fruit & either pancakes or eggs, with coffee or tea is good. My room was small but adequate. The... More

I really liked it here, very clean room, attentive staff, nice courtyard, above average breakfast (still too small for me but with good fruit plate) at a large table that gets you talking to other travellers. Only negative point is the bad smell coming from the bathroom - keep the door closed. Not a big issue though. We called mama... More

Fantastic homestay on the family compound. The rooms are large and comfortable and most have balconies overlooking the leafy central area. Bathrooms are clean and the water is warm, such a luxury after some simpler places we stayed! Breakfast is taken downstairs at a large table, which is a great opportunity to meet other travelers. It's banana pancakes and omelettes... More

Great value for money and very social and homey rooms are great but bathrooms very small...Location right in heart of the local area away fro touristy street of monkey forest rd It's also great for solo female travellers as breakfast table is small and social only downside is super loud roosters from about 4 to 6am every morning !

If you want to fully immerse yourself in the culture of Ubud, this is the place. Mama Wayan is always around somewhere and the family and employees are very friendly and helpful. They can arrange and give info for anything you need. The rooms are simple with nice features and the homestay is set on a quiet road (expect to... More
