if your planning a trip to Bali, but you don't want to be in the battle of the tourist Mecca of Ubud try Gerebig Bungalows. Me and my wife just spent 3 days at these quiet and sweet bungalows. The small terraces in the middle added a rural touch to our experience the family size hut we had was clean... More

Kadek and her team were ever helpful, friendly and kind. The breakfast was yummy each morning on our verandah! Comfy beds, ok shower, gorgeous pool and gardens of rice paddy. The 2bedroom bungalow we had was rustic, but clean comfortable and everything you needed. Every restaurant, spa,day trip Kadek recommended was spot on-thank you for such a lovely stay. Our little... We stayed here for seven nights as two family groups (children aged 6,7,8 and 9). Spacious accommodation spread over two floors. No air con in cottages 4 or 5. We stayed in cottage 4 and found it quite dark. Mosquito nets were provided (and very necessary). The ceiling fan didn't work and there were ants everywhere. Distance was a 20-min... More

I stayed here for two nights and my friends stayed for 10 nights. Lovely gardens and pool area. The rooms themselves are a little old, or at least what we stayed in, but reasonably priced and located. I left to stay a little further into Penestanan as I could hear the traffic in my room at Gerebig. My friends didn't... More

We stayed 4 nights in bungalow #4. Had a very relaxing time and a great way to start our month on Bali. Extra double bed upstairs so enough room for us and both kids. Pool was great, cleaner than the last place we were at! Breakfast was pretty standard, nothing special. Grounds and rooms cleaned daily so, unlike other comments,... More

First impression of Gerebig Bungslows was "Wow, beautiful. Looks awesome!" So my girlfriend and I are staying here for the next month. I don't think we'll stay on after that, so here's why, and here's also why we'll be pretty OK until then. Unfortunately, the only available bungalow when we arrived was the very first one closest to the reception... More

Didn't sleep well, room was too hot, sheets and bed felt greasy and sticky, bathroom was ancient and mouldy toilet was disgusting. Mozzie net ripped and brown everything felt yuk. Way too expensive for this at 300 thousand rupiah ($30). Stay up the road, much nicer at munut, air con, pickup, crisp clean sheets, two pools and wifi for 440... More

Shower was an insignificant spurt that would suddenly stop working all together. Difficult to wash my hair. Wasp nest on the mozzie net, which was also dirty. Brown stains all over curtains. Filth all around room. Fan insignificant- did not move any air. Neither of us could sleep either night we stayed because it was too hot, and we didn't... More

The rustic charm of the rice barns and inviting pool brought me back to Gerebig for a second visit. And the friendly welcome from Kadek and her staff and peaceful environment help to offset the bathrooms (one mould spot away from grotty). But where was the nasi goreng, or any other Indonesia breakfast option, to offset the fruit-or-eggs and watered-down... More

We went there for 2 nights and it was the best ever in Bali. Stayed at nusa dua as well but nothing compared to gerebig bungalows or the hospitality of the people here. We loved the beautifully kept bungalows, the picturesque view, and the local coffee. The place was extremely neat and tidy, comfortable. Market walking distance from the place,... More
