A little luxury amidst the ricefields, The Samara offers excellent service, accommodation and food. Our room was spacious and modern, with an outdoor shower. The facilities includes a picturesque restaurant and a pool. The service was outstanding, including very friendly and welcoming staff, free and reliable Wifi, included breakfast and afternoon tea and finally, transport to central Ubud via scooter... More

Small resort with most of the staff attending to your needs. The place is not accessible by cars, so staff need to take us on motorcycle rides down to the main street and back to the hotel. It was a great experience and we had fun riding the motorcycles. Breakfast provided were satisfactory and filling, catering to different needs. The... More

Stayed a week in June, super place, friendly staff, the walk to the hotel from Ubud is not to bad (you can call a scooter if you want). Quiet and in a great location in the middle of the rice paddies. Will be back

This place is superb, with a real attention to detail. The rooms are really luxurious, full of nice touches, whilst the breakfast was lovely (not to mention the afternoon tea and homemade cake). Set overlooking the rice paddies, it's small, picturesque and quiet, but not too far from the action in Ubud (a 15 minute walk to the centre). Nice... More

I stayed at the Samara towards the end of May during my anniversary. They went out of their way to make our anniversary stay amazing! Made was superb in accommodating us. The hotel is nestled in the rice fields, so a motor bike is required to get you to the actual hotel from the street or the "meeting point" where... More

We stayed there for a week (which is quite long i think) in june as a couple. It was exactly what we are looking for. Friendly, warm and helpful staff. No large hotel complex. Not in the noisy center of ubud but close enough to go walk to the center (we only rarely used the offered scooter-shuttle), a good and... More

A beautiful location set amongst the rice fields. We stayed for 6 nights. Quite, quite and quite, with distant subtle sounds sometimes of Bali music in the distance, mystic. The rush hour sounds of a couple of free range chooks feeding through the adjacent rice fields, mesmerising. The farmer tending to the crops, hypnotic. The view from the rooms (6... More

Very kind, extremely polite staff. Excellent hospitality. Goof nature around. Half opened bathroom. Remarkable and elegant room interior and facilities. Fresh fruit service. Single villa style luxury rooms. Excellent food in their restaurant with normal prices. Very delicious Itallian cousine. Very fresh meals. Free wifi in the room. Flower full bloomed garden. Bird songs and rooster screaming in the morning.... More

I stayed at The Samara with one of my best friends in March and loved it. The most awesome thing about this place is the attention to detail and the genuine concern about whether or not you have a great time in Ubud. The owners and staff are incredibly attentive and cheerful. They think of absolutely everything; from recommending restaurants,... More

We stayed for three nights at The Samara. Made picked us up from Denpasar after our flight was delayed over an hour and was the most cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was phenomenal, the property was pristine, and our private tour was amazing.
