We had booked our accommodation through agora and was supposed to be staying across the road at another location, however our booking hadn't gone through so we're given over to Ben and his homestay. Looking back this was the best thing to happen, his wife and family's looked after us so well. Any problems we had or any questions Ben... More

The lot here is beautiful, very lush and relaxing. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is simple but good, and I had dinner once here which was quite delicious. The wifi didn't work in our room, so we had to sit on the family's porch where the connection was better. Make sure you bring an ample supply of bug... More

Excellent location, a very good and cheap homestay with lovely bungalows. I loved the breakfast (fruits, kopi... perfect). Hosts were very kind, and helpful in planing our trip around Ubud. Of course you need to negociate the activities prices but it's part of it and they're honest and reliable.

We stayed here for five nights in the first upstairs room. It was large with an attached bathroom, fan and hot water shower. The room was so clean, probably the cleanest place we have stayed in 11 months of travel. The location was convenient and quiet, about 7/10 minutes walk uphill from the main street set at the back of... More

I stayed here for 3 weeks and had a really nice time. Ayu, the wife of Ben is such a sweet and caring lady and cooks some good and authentic food. The rooms are in the back of the families "compound" which means there are numerous parts of the family living here. Aunts/Uncles grandparents.. etc. Each has their own little... More

Great value for little money. Perfect location in quiet street only 5 minutes walk from Ubud centre. At the back of the homestay are stunning rice fields where you can do beautiful walks or just take a left with your motorcycle and you will experience the most beautiful views! The rooms are very spacious and very clean. Big windows and... More

I was in Bali for 2 months living in many different places but this was my favorite. i loved the energy of the family that lived here on this huge property near the center of Ubud. The simple sign out front does not reveal the magic that lies beyond. After Grandma kindly greeted me i was shown to my room... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ben and his wife, Ayu, welcome guests to stay in their beautiful Balinese Homestay during their visit to Ubud. Located just North of Ubud Palace and the bustling Ubud market, Ben's Homestay is on Suweta street, a quiet and serene road that is dotted with cafes, small boutique shops and Balinese temples. Upon entering Ben's Homestay, guests are greeted by friendly faces and a lush garden setting, filled with exotic flowers, mature trees and leafy plants. The 6 comfortable & clean rooms at Ben's Homestay offer sufficient privacy, and because Ben's extended family lives within the pavilion, guests know that their belongings will be secure (great for travelers with computers and other valuables) and they can sleep knowing the family dogs are on patrol all evening. Spending your time in a Balinese Homestay has other advantages - a friendly family member is always ready to share a smile, a kind greeting and a cup of tea with guests ... more   less
