We return here year after year..we love the family, the staff, the location, and the food ( always happy if there on a Sunday, to have the evening Balinese feast!). This is one of those special places...a homestay...nice rooms and pool at the back of the compound so one has great privacy but you can wander up and be part of/observe... More

We really enjoyed the stay. It is big compound with several appartments for rent. you can really enjoy living with local familly but still having your privacy. The location is just perfect. Do not believe if anybody complains about location! It is just centre of town but on a side street. The street itself is also the gateway to rice... More

This hotel is small with three rooms on each of the three floors at the back of the property. The family live at the front below the restaurant. It has a small but nice pool and the staff are friendly. The rooms are big with fan. There is no air con though it is advertised at the front, Negatives Bathroom... More

Stayed here for 3 nights last week, was not expecting such an amazing place for the price. Rooms were immaculate, with a mosquito net too. The location was perfect, being within walking distance of everything but in a quieter side street. The staff were amazingly kind and friendly, helped us book courses and cars and offering us some of their... More

Unfortunately, we were able to enjoy this beautiful place just for one day/night. The owners are really friendly and smile all the time. The rooms with showers are lovely and clean. The breakfast was great! For this price it is an amazing acommodition close to the main streets!

We returned to Rumah Roda after staying last year. Once again we found Darta and his family and staff so welcoming and friendly. This is a great place to relax and observe Bali life and tradition. Our room was clean and comfortable, the pool refreshing and the restaurant served yummy, low close food. We'll be back. Jane and Felicity, Australia

We enjoyed our stay at Rumah Roda. The rooms are nice and the family is very welcoming. We were asked to move rooms two times, which we were ok with, but is not great. The family has rooms in Ubud (Roda 1) and in de rice fields (Roda 2). The rooms in Roda 1 are very good, but the rooms... More

Having been to this family run restaurant in past years, we especially wanted to go again, but unfortunately it was disappointing - there was no friendly welcome at all, the young boy waiter didn't offer a single smile the whole time we were there, other clients came and made an effort to chat, he didn't respond and seemed sullen. The... More

I stayed here in 2001 and had a wonderful experience getting to know Darta and his family, so I came back for a few nights with my new family (incl 2 little kids) in Jan 2014. They have made some nice improvements to the guesthouse, including a small pool, which was nice to cool off in. When coming to Bali,... More
