Nothing but good to say about this family run accommodation. Our family of four enjoyed 3 nights here and felt like we had our own bit of paradise in Ubud. For a two storey cottage with lovely outdoor area and breakfast included we thought it was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, grounds maintained at a high standard. The... More

Lovely grounds, great and attentive staff and nice accommodation. Great pools and environment. Easy walk to the main road, even at night. Breakfast is served on the verandah. We prefer the eggs and toast. The fried rice and fried noodles is rather bland. Lovely pools. Only main negative is that there are 2 building under construction on site, and you... More

Arriving at Alas Petulu Cottages was like stepping into a little sneak-peak sized preview of Ubud. I really feel like they exude the forest jungle essence that is Ubud and captured it beautifully in a quiet and quaint cottage style oasis. It’s very much a family-owned and run accommodation choice; they live on site, which has great perks of being... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and had the bottom apt of the two story cottage. We could sit on a nice porch and had breakfast served to our patio each morning. While the breakfast wasn't amazing, it was more than ok, so no complaints from us. The pool is very nicely built and has the real "Spa/Oasis" feel. I... More

This would have to be the worst motel room I have ever seen. We opened the door to be greeted by the overpowering smell of mould. Please see attached photos of the family room we were given. It shows, filthy outdated and unusable appliances and bathroom facilities. The toilet continually flushed, making it unusable. The cold tap on the vanity... More

This hotel was fabulous. There are only 5 rooms, set in traditional Balinese gardens with 2 swimming pools. It was like our own private oasis. Only 5-10min walk to Ubud city centre, but so many fantastic restaurants close by. We will definitely be returning!!

We had a very enjoyable stay in the private villa. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed has a good mattress although I found the pillows very high and a little too solid. The pool was a delight - very clean and quite large. The service overall was very good, however reception seems to be staffed spasmodically. The... More

We have only just returned home from staying at this resort cottages and we feel it was very good value for money. The staff were excellent in particular the lady at reception who lived there and I would say the manager, she really was a lovely person and very helpful at all times. Breakfast was delivered to our door each mornings... More

Stayed in a superior double room for 5 nights. Loved our room, it was large, clean and we had an upstairs room which overlooked the beautiful frangipani trees and gardens. Great balcony with comfortable lay back chairs plus table and chairs. The room itself had great facilities including fridge, heaps of power points, safe, tv, aircon although with the large... More

Location wise, Alas Petulu is about 1km from the Ubud market. Located in Desa Petulu (Petulu village) off the main road in Ubud. The road leading to the hotel from the main road is quite dark and quiet at night, a torch light will be handy. We stayed at the pool villa. The facilities are basic but it does come... More
