I stayed for a week at Nirwa and have already booked to visit again in November. A relaxing quiet place just a short walk away from Ubud main streets - just far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The family are just lovely and will go out of their way to help in any way. A back gate is... More

I came here based on the reviews and i'm sure i will get slammed for saying this but i think this place is a rather over rated. Having looked at other travellers pictures of the rooms i think the upstairs and the other ground floor rooms look a lot better than the one we got. We had the older seperate... More

We stayed at Nirwa Homestay in 1st week on Feb 2012. Ubud is a beautiful holiday destination and Nirwa Home Stay is the perfect place to stay and enjoy your holidays .. Home stay is surrounded by Rice field. It feels nice to be in the middle of natural surroundings.. Best place with tranquility .. Rooms are very big and... More

We (hubby and myself) have just returned from Bali, 10 days of which was spent staying at the enchanting Nirwa Homestay in Ubud. We wanted peace and Bali beauty where we stayed, as well as walking access to restaurants and entertainment in Ubud, and Nirwa homestay gave us both of these as well as so much more. Madde and his... We stayed at Nirwa for two weeks. Even though it has been a while, we had always wanted to write a review because we had such a memorable stay. Firstly, we thoroughly enjoyed living with Made (the owner) and his wife Ayu. We were welcomed in every way, almost becoming one of the family at times. Made's English was great... More

Out of the 12 days we stayed in Bali, we spent 9 in Ubud and in Nirwa Homestay. We didn't originally plan to stay as long, but really, we couldn't imagine a better place to be in Bali. As all the other reviews said, it's a great place to stay. Madde and his family are really nice people and we... More

We stayed here for 3 nights from 11th-13th January 2012 and really enjoyed our stay. Nirwa is located just on the outskirts of Ubud centre, about a 5min walk to palace and market. To get to the homestay you need to negotiate a bit of a dark and narrow path that leads from a turning off the main road and... More

We stayed at this place one week after seeing positive reviews on this site and some other places not having availability for 7 days straight. I don't think the reviews I read were representative of my experience or from experienced travelers so am writing this review. Firstly I was charged AUD 25 for an airport pickup- this is exorbitant by... More

I stayed at Nirwa for two nights and had a very pleasant experience. Madde and his son Ilid picked me up from my hotel in Candidasa for a full day tour before going to Ubud at the end of the tour. The tour was great, I chose what I wanted to see and we went to Tirta Gangga, Tenganan Village,... More

My son and I stayed at Nirwa for six nights while on business/holiday in December. The whole experience was outstanding. Admittedly we did take both upstairs rooms which meant we had the whole first floor to ourselves with incredible views over the paddy fields where could watch the farmers tending their fields, shepherding their ducks and also sip our drinks...
