I stayed at Nirwa for 5 weeks in February-March 2015 while I settled into Bali and searched for a long-term apartment. Ayu and Made were so accommodating and kind, I would truly recommend their homestay to anyone! They both picked me up from the airport upon my arrival in Bali and helped me get settled when I was first here... More

I planned my solo trip to Ubud overnight, I found the Nirwa Ubud homestay website and liked the reviews so I gave them a call to see if there's any room available on days I'm going. Made ( pronounced as "ma" in "man" & "de" as in "day" ) answered & said yes he has a room available for me.... More

It was a pleasure to spend a few days in the Nirwa Homestay. The friendliness and family feeling that we were greeted with was wonderful, and our teenage boys immediately felt at home. Beautiful location on the rice paddies, very homely, quiet at night, peaceful during day, very convenient too - everything within walking distance. Perfect balance for us: a... More

Never have I been more overdue in writing a review. I have stayed at Nirwa many times while traveling and working in Indonesia and it never fails to be a wonderful experience. I'm pretty sure Ubud has more beds than visitors, but since my first stay here I've never thought of staying anywhere else. Ayu and Madde have found the... More

We wanted a home stay experience & this was a very warm family , lovely house, Made & Ayu were very helpful. though the town was busy with a local temple festival they managed to make themselves be available for us when required. The place is well located , near the centre of Ubud. The approach to the guest house... More

This place was much better than I had expected, and I didn't have low expectations. The price is unreal, it's so cheap. The room is extremely clean, spacious, and has a nice attached bathroom. Everything was in good working condition. I would definitely recommend a room upstairs though, as I was downstairs and didn't have too much of a view... More

So far this is my favourite homestay in Bali. Friendly hosts, lovely breakfast and a beautiful setting next to the rice fields. It was far enough away from town, but not too far. The garden is lovely and established and full of colour. Finding it isn't really easy, so look for the signs. You might find it challenging if you... More

I spent 3 weeks at Nirwa Homestay and I had a lovely experience being part of the family. The hosts, Madde and Ayu, are very welcoming and take great care of their guests, making sure everyone is comfortable and well-fed. The homestay is a 5 minute walk from the main street, along a path that runs next to an irrigation... More

Back in Ubud, we of course came back here. Part of the attraction is the accommodations themselves—nice room, bed, amenities, etc., and Ayu's breakfast, of course. Much better wi-fi this year, if that matters to you. The good part is the lovely Balinese family who are taking care of you. Great humor, warmth, and attention. Even if Alit (Alex to... More
