As it happened, we returned to Ubud recently (10 weeks later) and stayed once more in this establishment - and will do so again. However, this time we chose a less expensive room and I feel it's necessary to add an update. We decided we wanted an upstairs room which seem to be the only ones with windows that open;... More

While the Dewangga may not have as good of a free breakfast as some other Ubud accommodations, it is comprised of separate "bungalows" that are spaced comfortably apart, giving the occupant considerable privacy. Its location is separated from Ubud's crowded and noisy streets, yet right in the center of Ubud within easy walking to everywhere. While Dewangga prices may be... More

This large compound is a peaceful oasis in the centre of Ubud with its tall trees, fish ponds and gardens complete with three rabbits running freely around on the lawns. The staff is warm and friendly and they tried their best to make my stay comfortable. My room was cleaned on a daily basis with clean towels every day while... More

The only positive of the place is its location and a swimming pool. It is quite expensive compared to other places in Ubud. Staff is unprofessional and doesn't speak English. Breakfast is poor (everyday there was something missing, terrible coffee and tea) Room wasn't clean properly and twice I get back to my room and it was completely mess. I... More

This is not five star accommodation but, then, neither is the price tag. If you want five star then pay the price; there are certainly many of those around Ubud. But, if you want clean, affordable accommodation that is right smack in the middle of the main part of Ubud, then Dewangga fits the bill admirably. The minute you walk... More

Great location, very easy to walk to restaurants and shops from this place. We paid a bit more than we felt it was worth as we booked last minute and it was busy season. The staff were very helpful and we also used the driver of the Bungalow to take us to a few attractions out of Ubud.

Firstly this hotel is in a great location. Lots to see and do on your door step. The gardens and the pool are really nice, a real escape from the bustling streets of central Ubud. but the the fan room is not great, even for $40 a night. The sheets don't fit the bed, bathroom is quite a mouldy site... More

We booked for a fan room and was upgraded to an aircond room, very thankful to the staff. They were generally very nice and warm, helping us with transfer arrangements and our enquiries. The location of the hotel is very good. Near to the centre, Ubud Palace, Ubud Market, Monkey Forest, all the eateries. Very convenient. We love the infinity... More

This was a real find, which we stumbled upon by accident. Upon arrival we were greeted my Mona, the resident baby monkey. Our bungalow was very authentic and rustic, which I like. If you want air condition and a TV and amenities, this isn't for you. The grounds are amazing! The breakfast is typically Indonesian version of what we American... More

My 2 friends and I spent months looking online for a place to stay in Ubud before stumbling on Dewangga Bungalow, and it turned out to be perfect for our 4-week stay. The location is wonderful, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, the Royal Palace, Monkey Forest, marketplace, etc, but inside the gate it is beautiful, peaceful, calm, and quiet.There...
