I just stayed 3 nights at this lovely family run Hotel. The room was newly renovated, all in nice whitewashed timbers and white curtains/mosquito netting/bed linen. The bed itself was 5 star with a "pillow top" and really comfy doona/duvet. Nice hot showers, air-con, swimming pool (also beautifully renovated) and with The Elephant Restaurant right on the same property, you... More

We are a family of 3 (child is 4 years old) and stayed six nights at Taman Indrakila during the busy Christmas season in Ubud. We had a lovely and peaceful stay in our room that had a double and a single bed. The room was cleaned daily and the hot water almost always worked (only once it ran out).... More

We are back after a very happy stay last year. I right this review to bring things up to date. All the posited from lst year remain. A family business that is personal and friendly. It was a pleasure to see Wyan and Nyoman again. Some notable changes have occurred. First, the bathrooms have had a face lift ( which... More

Having stayed here 3or4 times over the years,it has so much potential. The views over the Campuan ridge and valley are spectacular. But arriving there recently was a real let down. The swimming pool had been dug up,the Restuarant had been demolished and the room we were offered was in a serious need of renovation. It was damp and mouldy and the mattress that... This place has lots of pluses as well as a few minuses. Best if you know the score in advance. It is family run and the staff are friendly and helpful. Wyan and Neuman will take you around to see sights for a reasonable fee; Wyan in his car and Neuman on his motorbike. Breakfast is included, consisting of fruit,... More

There's no denying that this place has stunning potential: the gardens are beautiful, and the view breathtaking on a clear day, but the experience is slightly let down by the cleanliness of the bathrooms: which need a good scrub and a lick of paint. The location is good for peace and quiet, but a fair walk from the town centre.... More

Well I really do feel sorry for those who have found only disappointment at Taman Indrakila. My partner and I have just spent two weeks of bliss at this quiet little place and wish we could have stayed longer. OK - the rooms are spartan but the view more than compensates for any lack of 5 star appointments. The pool... More

Taman Indrakila is a place that I love and keep coming back to,its simplicity and tranquility is always just what I need. The owners and staff are beautiful people so willing to give of themselves, the view is always amazing I just love watching the sunrise behind the palm tree each morning. Upgrading and maintaining a property like this doesn't come... More

Location, location, location on the ravine side of Jalan Raya Sanggingan (great restaurants, boutiques, hikes, etc, on the outskirts of Ubud proper). Very pleasant garden and most of the bungalows have great views. Some of the rooms have been remodeled and some have ancient, poor furniture. Some of the rooms are totally open to the elements (open transoms) which let... More

I chose to stay in Ubud for my return visit to Bali and Taman Indrakila was introduced to me by an associate who claims that this place is truly worth an experience. Well, every experience carries 2 sides of a story. For those of us who are looking for a quiet and tranquil place to stay which is value for... More
