A fantastic paradise of a hotel. The infinity pool blew my mind with its views on the rise paddies. Very private hotel with discrete staff, a welcome massage, phenomenal breakfast on your private terrace and afternoon teas by the pool. I could have stayed forever!

Lovely place, as there is just six villas we felt so relaxed there! We had upstairs room with amazing view and nice daybed on the balcony. Breakfast and afternoon teas was served on our balcony. Staff is very professional and always helpful and smiling. Hotel is quite close to the center and provides free transfer to any location in central... More

The infinity pool overlooks rice fields, coconut palms, banana trees and a small local temple; the perfect setting for this 6 room boutique bed and breakfast on the edge of Ubud. The exterior reflects modern Balinese design, the interior is decorated with black and white photos of Bali, stone sculptures and fresh flowers. The outdoor shower area is delightful, the... More

We reserved a stay at this hotel on the advice of friends, and were they right on the money! Once you open the entrance door to this magnificent tiny boutique hotel, you are immediately met with - silence. Ubud is a town of complex sound; traffic, people, work, city life, that your senses become accustomed to rather quickly. So, it... More

Thankyou Dirk for an enjoyable stay. Everything from the delicious breakfasts and afternoon teas served on our balcony by your friendly staff to the availability of a driver to taxi us in and out of Ubud at our whim was top notch. Such a peaceful environment to unwind in. Special thanks to the "gecko catcher" for removing this critter from... More

Major concerns: 1) cleanliness - floor is not washed, but simply swept, which is certainly not enough plus dirty cups are not always taken away from the room if you are not asked for it! 2) location - if you are not ready to walk 15-20 minutes on a very busy Indonesian street and not waiting for the taxi for... 1. The floor is scrubbed before a new check in (average length of stay is 3 days) and mopped or swept during a stay. 2. We offer a free shuttle to the center of Ubud from 10:00 -22:30. This is a complimentary service by our staff and using the company car. If the driver is out, picking up or dropping... More

Last year September we visited Bali and stayed for 5 nights at villa Sabandari. We enjoyed the tasteful interior of our room, the lovely breakfasts, the afternoon teas at the (infinity) pool side and the perfect service of all staff. All of this contributed to an unforgettable stay. As we were at the villa more than 3 nights we were... More

We stayed for a second time at Villa Sabandari in Aug/Sept. This place is sublime to say the least. The attention of the staff is wonderful, as is Dirk the owner. We have enjoyed our trip again due to the exceptional service and can do attitude of all staff..and owner. Breakfasts were a joy, attention to guests incredible and driver... More

Villa Sabandari takes benefit from its great location a little bit outside of Ubud in the middle of the green rice fields which can be seen from each room. We booked 3 nights in the Baris room on the first floor which included a highly recommended day tour and an one-way airport transfer. The room is very nice and you... More

Dear Guest, I wholeheartedly agree with your analysis that ‘a good hotel needs more than a unique location and nice rooms’. That is why I do my utmost to personally welcome my guests at check in, and to take time to give practical information to make their stay a relaxing one. I furthermore try my best to give these explanations... More

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. It is the perfect combination of elegance, luxury and simplicity. It is located in a peaceful rice field just a short walk from the main tourist area which is perfect. The service was excellent. The food was great. It's an oasis I would highly recommend.
