After a terrible disappointment with the B&B we had booked for three nights in Ubud, we were lucky enough to book our last two nights at Sungu. It cost three times as much, but it was worth it to be able to sleep in air-conditioned peace and comfort, at a wildly busy time of year: New Year's. The staff couldn't... More

We stayed at the Sungu only one night, we stayed in room #1 and when we first stepped into the room we were immediately overtaken by the smell of mould & moisture, the closet, towels were all smelly. The bed was quite hard and uncomfortable, and our room was close to the street so we heard the traffic a little... More

The is such a beautiful hotel to stay at. My friend and I stayed in a two storey villa that was a converted rice store. It was really spacious and had massive king sized beds! The staff here were always happy to please, they even let us use a spare room on the day we had to check out, as... More

We were in Bali for 10 days and visited three different places, Ubud in the middle where we were lucky enough to stay at the Sungu resort. By far it was the best played we stayed during our whole trip. The staff couldn't have been more genuinally helpful or friendly. Our room was divine, super king bed, cosy, comfortable and... More

We rented the 3 bedroom for our family of 5. Big, clean and tastefully decorated. Staff was very nice and welcoming. My wife tries the free massage on the last day and regretted not to have done more before... Their shuttle service to center of Ubud is very flexible and efficient. Very nice stay !

We have just returned from a five night stay at this resort. We booked the two storey villa with a private pool. The pool and garden around the villa were lovely with a huge overhanging frangipani tree... flowers would drop into the pool as we swam. Heaven! The villa itself was big with a huge bathroom and outdoor shower. The... More

I recently stayed at Sungu Resort for 4 nights / 5 days with my family in their two bedroom villa and was delighted by overall experience. It is quite conveniently located with just 10 minute wlak and 5 minute drive from Ubud city centre and hotel staff is always more than willing to drop and pick from the city. We... More

I have just had the pleasure of staying at Sungu Resort and Spa, just above Ubud town. It is certainly serene and the grounds are just beautiful. The room was enormous and included a heavenly sunken bath and a huge king-sized bed! I was supposed to stay in the Superior room but was upgraded to Deluxe. This was a delightful... More

Spent 4 days 3 nights in their pool villa and we were very pleased. The resort is very peacefully quiet and this makes a really relaxed stay. I dropped a remark to them asking them for a surprise birthday cake for my friend and they delivered their best! They surprised us with a whole black forest cake and sang him... More

My husband and I stayed at the Sungu Resort and Spa Ubud during our holiday in Bali, for 4 nights. Location of this hotel is great, a short 15 mins walk to Ubud Square! They do have a free shuttle service which one can book at his own convenience! The hotel has a lot of potential, the grounds and surrounding... More
