Yes, Bambu Indah is stunning. The intricate bamboo architecture and use of natural materials was beautiful down to the finest details. The people were warm and every action felt from the heart. The massages were wonderful, and the food - oh the food! - was delicious (especially their fresh fruit platters and home-made yogurt and granola offered in the mornings).... More

Me and my friend were staying a few nights in Bambu Indah in November 2014 and so much enjoyed this peaceful green paradise. Staying in Bambu Indah brought us back to nature, detoxed our senses and inspired us incredibly. The food is fantastic, organic and healthy. The staff is warm, lovely and helpful. And I've never slept so well surrounded... More

There are far more than 10 things to love about Bambu Indah but it's a start... 1. Uniquely beautiful and private houses 2. Quirky and pretty outdoor bathrooms 3. Delightful and very helpful staff (Neluh, Merri, Sri, Detu, Miri, Dianne...) 4. Vegetable gardens instead of flowerbeds 5. Serious eco credentials 6. Rice paddies and sunsets 7. Cool breezes and clean... More

More than a hotel this was a wonderful experience. The houses are lovely, old and full of character. Our view was across the river valley and the rice paddies. The management and staff were non-intrusive and very helpful. The frog first visited in the bathroom and then moved to the front verandah to serenade, we were please to see him... More

I just realized I never got around writing a review ... Is only fair for me to say that I think and dream about this place quite frequently... and I can not wait to be there again... The location is beyond beleive, the houses ( rooms) are just as they are described in their website and I should say even... More

The hotel is really wonderful. We were staying with another couple at the elora house which is really nice. The bathroom are open (just wall no roof) and that looks like paradise... the only inconvenient was that the room at the top was very noisy when it rained. Also the two bathroom were on the ground floor so it's not... More

My wife and I loved this place. It is a unique experience in every way and I recommend anyone headed toward Ubud try to spend a few nights here, but I have to agree with other reviewers who say it is a bit overpriced for what you get (so maybe just a night or two). All the rooms are reconstructed... More

This is a beautiful hotel, with unique houses to stay in (we stayed in Padi House). The restaurant is very good with fresh organic food ! Very friendly staff ! Ubud is only 10 min by taxi depending on traffic... The view on the rice fields from the hotel is so beautiful... Swimmingpool is ecofriendly and very refreshing ! When... More

I paid about US $200 to stay in the Kuning house for 1 night, advertised as the "cheeriest" of the rooms because of its yellow exterior. We didnt feel it was very cheery, in fact it was really dark and small. I respect the unique nature of this hotel, being ancient Javanese huts, however it's very expensive for what is... More

This resort is one of a kind, in my opinion. I have stayed in five different resorts in and around Ubud, and this one is truly special. **Please Note: if you are an unstable walker, OR if you do not like the idea of showering or using the toilet while you are practically outside, you may want to look elsewhere....
