We've stayed here for 2 nights in 1 of the 'simple' rooms. The room was nice decorated, large, a bit dark and a veranda. It took around 5 minutes before the shower water was warm (not even hot). Breakfast was mwah. Not healthy because of the crossants and some other dough bread. Swimmingpool and restaurant was nice and the location... More

I stayed two nights at La Taverna, architecturally an odd mix of Mediterranean and old Balinese. I had a garden room, #7. The room was dark and dingy, claustrophobic, had a stale, musty smell, drab furnishings, zero privacy, with no comfortable area to sit. It was really awful! This would possibly be expected and acceptable if you were paying budget... More

Went there for dinner on Christmas Eve along with other foreign tourists. The service was painfully slow, the food was average, the experience disappointing. The hotel is in a great location (on the beach) but obviously poorly managed. They desperately need a floor manager (as they have in other hotels) to ensure that the staff are on their toes and... We stayed at La Taverna for 5 days and loved the location, right on the beach and the main strip for restaurants and shopping. Sanur is a lot quieter than other areas and we will go back again. We had the most expensive sea view suite with private pool but the accommodation really old and uncomfortable. The ground floor bathrooms... More

Having lived in Sanur for almost 20 years, until we moved back to Europe, this was the first time to actually stay in a hotel here. Arriving around 1 pm, check in was good. An extra bed for our son was arranged for at an unusual high price of US $ 40,00....could not get it down lower than US 35,00... More

La Taverna has a nice boutique feel, the area itself Sanur is beautiful with the hotel right on the beach with a gorgeous walk path on the beach perfect for a stroll or bike ride. My only criticism with this hotel was that after 2 nights in the garden room My mother was not able to sleep on the beds... More

Such a lovely place to spend weekend. I and my hubby had a very great time to spend weekend. We feel traditional and natural environment. We enjoyed traditional food and delicious wine..i will come to La Taverna over and over again. Enjoy sun bathing, shopping and watching sunset there..

There are quite a few good things about this hotel. The staff are very well trained and extremely polite, professional and also friendly. It's on the beach. The bungalows are really cute (though we didn't stay in one because they were more expensive than other rooms) My biggest problem with La Taverna is their policy that no outside drinks may... More

Had wanted to stay at La Taverna for years but was always scared off with some pretty ordinary reviews. Took caution to the wind last month and booked in for 2 nights, wish it had been longer. We really liked this hotel, individually decorated in funky arty style , all small bungalow type buildings scattered around the pretty gardens. Our... More

I have refrained from doing a review of this hotel previously because I wanted to keep it a secret! Selfishly, I would hate to see it so heavily booked that I could not obtain a room. So, what changed my mind, was that it was very under-booked this past week as indeed was the whole of Sanur Beach Bali. Sadly,... More
