This hotel was a big disappointment. I wouldn´t suggest it to anyone looking for a charming and confortable place to stay. We had stayed at Alila Ubud before, wich is a beautyfull hotel, and when we arrived at Besakih it was horrible. The service was average, although some of the staff was very rude and not always available to help... More

On the beach excellent location. Rooms good size spacious bathroom. Great to walk along the Sanur beachfront. Two pools good size but a few selfish people dominate the pool beds by leaving towels 'reserving' their spot but disappearing for hours. Friendly staff, brekky ok lots of other places to eat enjoyed Bonsai and Benno cafes. cafe Smorga's on main road... More

Recently spent two weeks at this great hotel. It is excellent value for your money and absolutely wonderful staff who understand English. We were firstly in a lovely room but almost roadside, far from restaurant, pools and beach and very noisy from nightclub and bars across the road. We were moved eventually but just happened to have got a not... More

Have friends staying here,so I am just a visitor. If you want to sit around the pool, get your towels early and place on a chair, then wander off and have your booked chairs vacant for most of the day, instead of letting other use them. Went there for breakfast today as friends ,son's birthday.Ordered Pineapple juice(watered down)coffee, eggs fried, bacon and toast 2pc and butter.(cheapest... More

Great holiday, if your looking for a holiday away from the madening crowd. Nice room although dated. Service excellent. Breakfast good. Good restaurants nearby, with a range of prices. Beach is lovely, good swimming at high tide right at the door, but the pool at the hotel is really lovely. Massage on the beach was great, but dearer than a... More

This was our second stay at the Besakih Hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend staying in the bungalows and not the standard rooms, as they are much more comfortable and private. The gardens are lovely and the pools are good too, although there is sometimes a shortage of lounges by the main pool. A lot of... More

We returned for the 2nd time to Besakih in May (after our first stay in September). this time we had with us our 3 daughters and one of their friends aged 16 - 21. We spent 11 nights in Legian prior to moving to Besakih. I was a bit worried that the "kids" would find it all a bit laid... More

My wife and I stayed in a 'bungalow', which is a free-standing building, with bedroom, en-suite, a foyer with tee/coffee facilities, and a veranda. This was a mix of old-fashioned and modern - old fashioned charm, with a modern efficient air conditioner. Hotel guests were mainly older Australians (with a smattering of younger ones), so we felt quite at home.... More

We arrived at the Beaskih in April for 6 nights, loved it so cancelled our Lombok tour and extended another week at Besakih before our final 13 nights in Legian. The location is fantastic, the paved pathway along the front extends for a fair stretch along the beach. Our morning walks lasted for 2 days.... The staff were all great... More

I was quite hesitant to go to Bali as first timers but came away wanting to return again ASAP. I read reviews on the Besakih and expected a run down very average resort. Yes the rooms are basic and a bit run down but we really only went there to sleep, The atmosphere of the resort is fantastic. Lush green... More
