Yes the old girl is getting a bit tired, and some of the rooms might be as bad as the reviewers say (although we haven't experienced that -- I suspect they keep them for airline spillovers), but for a family holiday with teenage kids it was great. A really good choice of restaurants and food types at the resort, three... More

It's a 60's place and may be past its prime a bit but the staff bend over backwards to help it's good value and in a great spot at the top of the main strip. We had a great time, it was very good value and we will be going back. Don't take any notice of the bad reviews, I... More

Was put up in this hotel when flight was cancelled. Discusting, dirty, smelly. Room and pillows stunk of cigarette smoke and bathroom was the worst ever. I waited to shower at the airport lounge.

For the bungalow, it was a horror, with its old interior & facilities, dark sorrounding and far far away from the lobby, but close to the beach. However, when I moved to (other) renovated standard room, it was so different from the bungalow. Everything was much more better (including cleanliness). In general, the food (room service) was poor, difficult to... More

We got put here when our Garuda flight was cancelled. Arrived at 10pm and the lobby looked promising. Dinner was supplied (buffett) and was a bit dodgy. We then got in the lift and nearly passed out from the overpowering "air freshener" . The room was dirty with stained carpet, all the buttons on the air con and light controller... More

We first stayed at Grand Bali Beach in 1988 when our two teenage children were with us, we went there for a few years at Christmas and always found it fantastic. We have travelled a lot over the ensuing years and went to Bali again in 1996 and 2000, we were there again just a couple of weeks ago and... More

Some of the rooms are showing their age a bit but it is still a top spot to stay. We had a room in the garden wing. Looking over lovely gardens and each room has a balcony or patio. try to get a pool facing room. The grounds are huge. there are three pools, the main one is by the... More

This was the first place we stayed upon arriving in Bali. It’s located at the end of Sanur Beach, and takes up a lot of space. In terms of the size of the resort, it’s huge! It was probably one of the grandest places to be, back in the day, but it’s now looking very dated. The check-in was fine.... More
