overall, the mahapala was a good find. the price was reasonable especially since you get a full villa, your own personal pool and a very cool outdoor shower. We had booked to stay at another Villa complex but was very disappointed and felt more stressed out that we had arrived. We checked out of the Villa with no where to go - silly thing to do in August!! Anyway we had seen the Villa Mahapala earlier on in the day and to return to have a further look... more

Saw Villa Mahapala by chance while surfing for our holiday accomodation. And no regrets on our choice. This is a new hotel which started operating in Feb 08 hence all the facitilies available are new. We were being treated with great hospitality by all the friendly Hotel staff. We stayed recently at the Mahapala Villas in Sanur. This place is just AMAZING. Sure there are probably bigger, better places or chain hotels on the island but this place just has IT! Villa Mahapala - consisting of 20 luxurious villas with private pool - has newly opened-up on March 2008 and the architectural design provides a relaxed & private atmosphere.
