Hard to find, hard to leave is the hotels' slogan and, boy is that true: Our driver had to stop two times to get directions, and no, we did not want to leave at all. The resort upgraded us to one of their new pool villas and we got a palace all to ourselves where Evi and Oka, our butlers,... more

Damai had a lot to live up to. The reviews had been amazing and it was intended to be the highlight of a trip that had already been outstanding. It didn't disappoint. From the food to the staff, to the view, accomodation and the cocktails (Dwi is a genius mixologist!) everything met or exceeded our very high expectations so much... more

We were a bit afraid we had put our expectations too high, but 15 minutes after arriving to Damai we knew we were in for a treat. We took it slow on the way up to the hotel and saw the central highland which was very beautiful. At Damai we stayed in a deluxe villa which was very elegant with... more

We stayed two nights at this beautiful location up in the hills. If you are going to stay at this hotel it is definitely a must to splash out on one of the private villas with a pool. Although they are situated a fair distance from the main reception area the whole idea is that you are private and secluded,... more

We always wanted to stay in a villa in Bali and we decided to stay in Damai. The driver picked us up from the airport, for the 4 hour drive. This is basically the only small downside of going to Damai. But fellow travelers, it is absolutely worth it! The check in was smooth and quick. During checking we got... more

After having stayed at Damai on a number of occasions, I was very impressed to return and see the new villas open. There are now a range of brand new private villas, each with an infinity pool with unparrelled views over the North Coast of Bali. The villa had it's own Bale over looking the valley andhad been very tastefully... more

On our honeymoon to Bali, this was the second property were we had put up...the first one being Uma Sapna in Seminyak region of Bali. The choice of Damai was exclusively based on the top ranking given on trip advisor by travellers. The choice of location - Singaraja was based on the view that after 3-4 days of partying /... more

friendly staff made us feel we stay at a friend's place rather than in a resort. Because Damai is small and set in a beautiful hillside garden, there is a very private atmosphere. The restaurant has great food and a stunning view over the coastline. We could even see Java's vulcanoes to the west. We tried the cooking school with... more

What a beautiful place. The setting overlooking a valley towards the sea was delightful. As soon as we entered our villa we were just blown away by how serene and peaceful a resort we had chosen. The resort itself is about a 5 min drive from lovina beach, but a shuttle will take you to the beach and back with... more

We spent 3 nights at the Damai as part of a 2 week trip to Bali. It is a truly special place and we liked everything about it. The restaurant is in a wonderful location overlooking the north coast of the Island and the quality of the food is really excellent. We enjoyed the evenings most - sitting round the... more
