I can echo what others have said - this is a fantastic, sustainable minded hotel that is staffed by locals from Lovina. Super friendly staff and I had a great time chatting with the owner about local politics. Regarding some of the complaints from other reviewers, you have to keep in mind that you are in the developing world. Things... More

This is an oasis on the North coast of Bali. The staff and owner are all wonderful and could not do more to have made our stay more comfortable. Close to the water and far enough away from the main road so you don't hear the traffic. Lovely gardens and great pool. Highly recommended.

Stayed here one night mainly for the dolphin trip next morning. The hotel do provided dolphin package at a better rate than our driver. But we paid before we reach the hotel. Sad. Location -ok. Nearby the beach. Food -good breakfast! But the portion a bit small. Clean!!! Nice bathroom & nice bed. Swimming pool -small but clean. Security -... More

We recently stayed here in July 2013, and I have to say it was like coming home. We stayed here 3 years ago and loved it and knew it had to be part of our travel plans again. Sue, John and all the staff make you feel like you are a member of their family and involve you in all... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was clean, modern and comfortable, with a great shower and lovely verandah to sit and watch the birds in the lush undergrowth. The swimming pool was lovely and refreshing. We experienced the most amazing thunderstorm just next to the swimming pool - it was very close and the lightning and thunderclaps went... More

We booked for this hotel although when we arrived they didn't have any record of it. Given that its owned by an Australian it was ironic that it was the only place on our trip that didn't. Anyway - we were given a room and it was really like walking into a 1970s Australian seaside motel. Indeed looking out of... More

A stay at Suzi's Hotel Melamun is so much more than a place to sleep or arrange tours. Suzi is a wonderful Australian who wants to empower and educate locals in the Lavina area. She opened the lodge to help employ almost two dozen people and spends her profits on both upgrading the facilities and enriching her employees life through... More

We stayed in the bungalow, which was basic yet comfortable. Suzy and her staff were very warm and friendly. When they realized we were on our honeymoon, they surprised us with a beautiful home made cake and a musical performance by staff. It was such a memorable evening. The human touch is what makes this B&B such a special place.

We just stayed 1 night. While we arrived around 10pm, the staff was waiting for us and room was ready. We had a dolphin watching and snorkeling trip on the next day morning. Hotel staff waked up us on 5.30am, drove us to the beach directly. And the staff took us to see dolphins with his boat; after that, we... More
