Very quiet location. Only 8 rooms. The staff are excellent and the rooms are very big and well appointed. Breakfast and the evening meal was superb. Surroundings are gorgeous. Black beach and shallow water so not the place to stay if you want activity, but very enjoyable if you are wNt a quiet and relaxing time.

Very interesting to see that the reviews on TripAdvisor are more positive than I would have expected after staying here (usually TripAdvisor is spot on), but I think it might differ when you stay here and what your expectations are. Our travel agent (in general, don't use one as they didn't help us properly it is not worth the money!)... More

We had a great and relaxing stay at the hotel. There was only another couple with us, so we didn't have any problems with electricity. The service was very excellent and the three ladies were very friendly. A real insider tip is to eat fish at the restaurant. The room was clean and very large.

We booked for three nights but left after one. Unless you have your own transport you will find it hard to get to restaurants. Staff couldn't get us a taxi so we had to walk 20 minutes along a very hot rubbish strewn black sand beach. This is made difficult by fishing boats and mooring lines all over the beach... More

*** Whenever this resort is at full capacity the electricity ALWAYS cuts out. This means you will have to turn the air-cond back on manually through the night. We had the worst sleep here throughout our whole trip as it was too hot and humid for the air-cond to be off; and opening the window was not an option due... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Frangipani. It had a real homey feeling. And the staff was great, they help you with everything you need. We enjoyed seeing that the staff do their job with pleasure, they seem like a family. We also liked the fact that there were dogs and cats roaming around, that gave it an extra homey... More

This place is just a true gem. Small and quiet enough for privacy but with a small hint of interaction with others. The walk Is approximately 15-20 Minutes to the Main Street and major dining area. The facilities were all classy in my opinion from beds, rooms, bathrooms, pool, sun lounges, you name it it was very good or better.... More

Good facilities, bad location and a bit overprized. The pool and the room is nice and the AC did work, not like many other people said before. When we arrived no one took care of our heavy bagpacks and one of the ladies directly tried to sell some sort of trip tickets for double of the price we saw when... More

We had the good fortune to stay at frangipani for a week this August and loved it. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The staff are friendly and the pool sparkles. The owner Brigitte is friendly and helped us to arrange activities. Be sure to have your photo taken under the travelers tree!
