After a long drive and a few wrong turns we finally arrived at paradise. Staying at Villa Manuk was the perfect place to experience the real Bali, which we love. We spent 5 days there and it was a complete getaway. We walked to nearby villages most days and spoke to friendly locals, visited Sekumpul Waterfall (beautiful), drove to Lake... More

Escape from the tourists, the internet, TV, the hectic ness of everyday life and retreat to the peaceful village-like atmosphere of Villa Manuk. I found this place enchanting, just up my alley. Peace and quiet surrounds you except for roosters letting you know they are awake. The Villa is set on the outskirts of a working village. Take long walks... More

Although the weather was not always perfect, villa Manuk was a great place to unwind. We ended up extending our stay just because it was perfect for us. If you have your own car as we did it makes staying @ villa Manuk for more than 2 days more enjoyable. The place is surrounded by nature and working farmland, you... More

I cannot praise Villa Manuk enough... It is the most relaxing place we have stayed in Bali... Everything just perfect. Note : there is no TV or internet (although a plugin connection is available if you wish to arrange with Beate). This lack of technology was not missed for one minute. The other thing they do not have, is air... More

We spend 4 nights here in November 2010 and it was one of three hotels we stayed at in Bali. This was certainly the best from them. This little hotel in a very small village is owned by a German lady and a local. They also own a restaurant on the north coast of Bali which provides the food served... More

What a great place. And why did we only stay 3 nights?? That was the only bad planning in our trip. But be aware Beate, we'll be back. Haven't felt so relaxed for a long time. No Internet, no TV, bliss.....beautiful ricefields, great food, stunning nature and last not least the staff. Very attentive, funny and helpful. You shouldn't change... More

After a nice day driving up to the north of Bali from the airport we arrived at Villa Manuk around 5pm. The drive was quite interesting and our driver had to call to ask for direction, one of the staff came down the street with his motorbike and we followed him for the last kilometer or so. We got of... More

Recently stayed at Manuk and occupied 3 rooms. This was the highlight of our trip in Bali. ABsolutely perfect retreat with wonderful relaxing location and home cooked meals. Staff very pleasant and locals in the area delightful. Can't wait to return. The cool spring water pool was devine, just wished we had stayed more than the 2 nights.
