We stayed with a group of people for 8 nights,we where there for our daughters 18th birthday. The location is great, right in the heart of Legian, the noise from the clubs and bars was not a problem. The gardens are gorgeous and peaceful, lots of spots to chill and read or just relax :)). There was no wifi in the rooms or... More

A nice older clean, quiet, inexpensive 2 story hotel in a convenient place in Kuta Bali, there is a pool with a swim up bar. The area is quiet and safe , the rooms and beds nice and clean there is a bar and restaurant next door. Close to bars, shops and other hotels a easy walk to beaches and... More

I picked Matahari bungalow by chance and was pleasantly surprised! The service was excellent, the facilities were good and the location is amazing! The only disappointing thing was that Wifi was not accessible in my room, but I wasn't there to get stuck on the Internet, so I had a great time! Thanks to the staff for making the difference!

We booked 3 rooms for a two week stay. The location was amazing - close to the bars and lane way shopping. Right near some of the best restaurants and also loved that the street noise does not impede the grounds of the hotel. WiFi in the bar and restaurant area alone - it would be great if it was... More

We stayed for one night only. We have booked our room two months before with full payment and special request of GF. We reached there at night and really shocking to see that the rooms were not ready. We had to wait for one hour yet finally we got the room with twin beds. It was beyond our expectation.. Ambience... We had a great stay at this hotel in Kuta. It's right down the street from the Bali Memorial - and 1 block back from the Kuta Beach, 15 mins walk to Seminyak and a less than AU$10 Taxi ride to most places worth visiting near by. The pool is on the small side - but plenty big enough to... More

It was perfect location if you wanted to stay in Kuta and to be close to all Legian or Seminyak. Good walk to Seminyak. It is three star but so worth it. Set well back to the main street so you didn't hear the hustle and bustle of the bars and clubs. Rooms were clean and well presented however the... More

On a good street for shopping etc, pool was great with pool bar and the breakfast was okay but limited. Rooms are old, bad for Mosquitos and bathrooms are pretty simple. We paid a lot for this but I wouldn't want to be paying more than $25 a night otherwise. I'm sure there are better places?!

The location of the hotel is really great. It is close to shopping areas, restaurants and night clubs. The outside area is lovely, and the pool is great (beware, ladies, that you are not allowed to swim there during your period!). The rooms are tired, but clean. The bathroom is very simple. The restaurant closes at 23 (we once experienced... More
