Streets named after this restaurant. Off the main road with one of the best night restaurant presentations. Booked out, we returned 30 minutes later and talked our way in. Food just amazing. We observed other diners food been served. Just amazing. One of our drinks was out of a carved out coconut. Best presentation drink world I have received. Our... More

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights after a long flight from Europe. It is the second time we came here and it was as great as the first time. When you step out of busy Poppies Lane through the narrow entrance to the hotel, you step into the most gorgeous tropical garden ever! The staff is so... More

Always a treat to stay here. Always delivers beautifully maintained grounds and swimming pool, lovely spacious bungalows and wonderful staff. Loving it again! Our first port of call when we arrive in Bali. An oasis in a sea of market stalls, restaurants and massages. Quick walk to Kuta Beach to enjoy a swim and then sunset drinks. A quick walk... More

Recommended by a friend, a happy accident when the flight was cancelled our trip to Poppies surpassed our dreams. Late checkin, no problem, the location in a quiet alley 200m from Beach, then dinner at the famous Poppies Restaurant. Service was impeccable, food of a very high standard, set in picturesque garden setting made me feel like I had dreamt... More

Poppies has a relaxed feel right in the middle of Kuta. The staff are wonderful and can't do enough for you. The cottages are getting a little tired inside and need some attention ,example would be to replace the curtains and have better lighting . You need to be very careful when in the laneways out the front as it is... More

I have been travelling to Bali for decades and as a young man surfing, Poppies cottages was too expensive. Now that I return each year with my wife and 2 kids, Poppies is perfect. The are about 31 small cottages within the complex which is located on Poppies Lane 1, one of the busiest lanes in Kuta, but after you... More

I always stay here at the beginning and sometimes the end of my trip because the flights get in and depart at such awkward hours (think 1 am ish). I book my room at Poppies via email, and they always meet me at the airport. While Kuta is one of the worst bits of Bali, Poppies is tucked away and... More

I loved our stay at Poppies. We had 2 cottages for 3 nights. Loved the outdoor bathroom and the beautiful gardens, oh and the pool was so refreshing and calming. The staff were all gorgeous and made us feel very welcome. It was so nice returning to Poppies after the craziness of Kuta. 3 nights just wasn't long enough!

We just booked our last night at Poppies due to a recommendation from a friend who stayed there. We were expecting something clean and simple and were completely overwhelmed by the luxury of this little gem hidden in the heart of Kuta. We are more the quite kind of travellers and Kuta is not really a place we like so... More

Our 3rd stay at Poppies and as wonderful and relaxing as ever. Beautiful maintained grounds and so peaceful. Fantastic location to markets and a short stroll into Kuta. Loved the Balinese interior and the open air bathroom and private garden that each cottage has.
