We begin every trip to Bali with at least three nights at Poppies. This place emphasises traditional quality. It may be over forty years old but everything is maintained to a high standard, combining traditional charm with modern facilities. You always get good value for money.

poppies...the original cottages is still as lovely as ever. The gardens are one of the best established tropical gardens in the world. The pool is like a jungle rock pool surrounded by overhanging bougainvillea of all colours. The little Monet bridge over the brook with Lilly pads, golden carp, red biplane dragon flies etc is spectacular. Bali has the most... More

Don't be put off by the hussle and bussle of being in Kuta because stepping through the gate of Poppies is like entering paradise. Airport transfers are included in their rates. Room service is available for breakfast, lunch, dinner and anything in between. They even go shopping for you if you want to stock your fridge with drinks and free... More

We stayed for three nights at Poppies before heading to Ubud. Pick up at the airport was nice but when we arrived it was evening (dark) and there was no one around after checking in to show us to our rooms so after reading the map we found our way to our cottages. Rooms well appointed but feel it would... More

Thank you for a helpful and constructive review. Regarding the tea, we do deliberately provide early morning Indonesian tea in a flask together with some fruit, because we try to follow old Balinese traditions where we can. It's not normally served with milk, but a call to Reception is all it takes to request milk to be supplied each morning... More

My wife and I travelled together to Bali in May and our first stop was at Poppies. The cottages are beautiful and the pool and common areas are amazing. Each cottage is well appointed with a fridge and TV. Air conditioning is strong and there are fans to help circulate. Breakfast is delivered each morning (at a fairly reasonable additional... More

Quiet oasis in bustling Kuta; lovely rooms in garden setting; wonderful service- pickup from airport; nice relaxing pool and a very good Poppies restaurant nearby. dont worry about the very narrow lanes.

We chose Poppies because of a recommendation in a guide book and reviews on Trip Advisor. It is difficult to know just how to rate it. Compared to some of the garden setting resorts in other locations, this one would only rate a two. To rate it based on it being an unexpected oasis in the midst of chaos, it... More

Wow what a hidden little gem off the streets of Kuda. Who would have thought that you could step off the lane way into a little tropical paradise? It is seriously cute, quite and tropical with lush gardens and a beautiful little oasis pool. Coming from the W in Seminyak to here was actually beautiful - cute, quaint, quiet, beautiful... More

Poppies was our second hotel on our trip. Very clean and quiet. Although I loved it I wouldn't stay there again a little bit expensive 105 dollars a night and prices have gone up. Great choice for breakfast not included in price of accomodation. Not much lighting at night which would was abit annoying. The pool was beautiful and quiet.... More
