Quiet oasis in bustling Kuta; lovely rooms in garden setting; wonderful service- pickup from airport; nice relaxing pool and a very good Poppies restaurant nearby. dont worry about the very narrow lanes.

We chose Poppies because of a recommendation in a guide book and reviews on Trip Advisor. It is difficult to know just how to rate it. Compared to some of the garden setting resorts in other locations, this one would only rate a two. To rate it based on it being an unexpected oasis in the midst of chaos, it... More

Wow what a hidden little gem off the streets of Kuda. Who would have thought that you could step off the lane way into a little tropical paradise? It is seriously cute, quite and tropical with lush gardens and a beautiful little oasis pool. Coming from the W in Seminyak to here was actually beautiful - cute, quaint, quiet, beautiful... More

Poppies was our second hotel on our trip. Very clean and quiet. Although I loved it I wouldn't stay there again a little bit expensive 105 dollars a night and prices have gone up. Great choice for breakfast not included in price of accomodation. Not much lighting at night which would was abit annoying. The pool was beautiful and quiet.... More

Absolutely beautiful hotel, tucked away on Poppies Lane amongst the hustle and bustle of Kuta this is a true sanctuary! Beautiful grounds and quaint rooms, Poppies is a must if traveling to Kuta. Hotel location with the feel of a Villa. Friendly and helpful staff and a fantastic restaurant!!

We booked for one night only at Poppies after a late arrival from Sydney. Everything that has been said before is true about this place. A complete oasis in between Poppies Lane 1 and Poppies Lane 2 - the mecca of market shopping (this was not our reason for booking!). It is remarkably quiet, given its location, food is terrific,... What a joy surrounded by lush greenery and the bustling city surrounding you... Staff was beyond reproach, room was beautiful, food was amazing.... Was my first visit and sure it will not be my last.... Grounds a just lovely and the peace you find with the shopping that happens during the day is truly remarkable... Will happily stay there again... More

Thank you for your review, and for giving us a fair rating. Now and again we do receive a question about odour. So once again we would like to explain the ‘mould’ smell you refer to. One of the features that makes our rooms so attractive is our beautiful roofs, made of authentic ‘alang-alang’ thatching. This is a rarity in... More

As were all my other stays at poppies, kuta is madness but this place is heaven.. plus they have a dog with a pony tail to keep the hair out of it's eyes with an underbite. His name is Barong and he makes me stay here so much better. everything is perfect, this is why this is my third stay... More

I've been coming to Poppies since I was a baby and it always feels like home. Despite celebrating it's 42nd birthday this year, Poppies never seems to age. Each time I go, it's the same, only better. The feeling of being inside a tranquil haven never changes, despite the bustle of Kuta. I love having the chance to be right... More
