We only stayed in this hotel for one night as we were passing through Bali and catching a flight early next the morning. Lucky enough in that sense! We checked in and the accommodation looked nice, there was a pool, rooms were spacious enough, we had a nice balcony overlooking the pool and it was centrally located to everything nightclubs,... Nice hotel in the center of Kuta and quiet but my room was dirty. In fact there was water leaking from the roof and it smelled like moisture. The bathroom was also bad with no pressure for the shower. In the morning the staff was not very friendly but the shift in the afternoon was great. The swimming pool was... More

Despite reviews listing problems such as not having phone and fridges or poor tv channels: I definitely didn't go to Bali to call reception, drink or eat in my room and definitely not to whatc tv! For $20 a night you really can't go wrong. The staff are nice and courteous, by the 2nd night they knew me by name.... More

All rooms on 3rd floor have bedbugs, after one night I had at least 20 bites...staff is not overly friendly, breakfast is included but very basic (till 11am) you will be still hungry afterwards We also overheard that a guest had to pay for a 5min late checkout...not very nice, notice checkout is at 11am nice pool though, the price... Actuallaly you can't give any complain against this hotel for its value, location, staff, cleanliness. What else you need when such friendly environment is there. In low voice you can protest of this comment in respect of size swimming pool & wifi, but you shouldn't do this in thinking of other else.

We thought there were just a lot of mosquitoes, till the 2nd night where we were up until past 3 am and saw a lot of bugs crawling everywhere! on the bed, pillows, and even the headboard you can easily see them walking about, so the infestation is really huge (room 306) can't sleep and was paranoid they've gotten in... I stayed in The Kubu Hotel first time in 2011, I think it was very shortly after they opened and it was awesome, so returning to Kuta last week I went straight there. It's obviously 3 years old now, but it's still clean and comfortable, unbeatable location (in the heart of the Poppies Lane district, but far enough from the... More

I really like The Kubu Hotel. The staff is super friendly, good location and price, clean rooms and nice pool. Yes, the hotel has it's flaws (like dripping water from the AC in some of the rooms and not much for breakfast) but it's one of the best hotels I've stayed at while traveling through Indonesia on a backpacker's budget.... We stayed 3 nights in the Kubu and really enjoyed the place. The staff was very friendly and the location is just great within the night life area and not far from the beach. The pool is not the greatest but good enough to cool down. The room was big enough with a private balcony and ensuite bathroom. Breakfast is... More

the best thing about this place is that while you are in the heart of kuta; you can sleep any time of the day or night without any drunkards shoutings or motor bikes making a lot of noise. rooms are clean and there is a swimming pool too. however the breakfast which is included is just too modest.
