Found on the internet for proximity to airport 15min taxi ride away. A truly hidden gem in secluded gardens very quiet and relaxing. Staff were very helpful.Wish we had found it earlier. Practiced eco principles as well. more

Great oasis in the middle of a hectic city. Birds, lizards, snails on the grounds are fantastic. Well kept pool for those hot afternoons. Great people running the place. Check out their other lodges in Flores, Borneo, and Sumatra. more

My husband and a friend/colleague of ours traveled to Bali in mid-October primarily to use it as a jumping off point to get to Komodo to see the dragons. We stayed at Udayana based on the recommendation of one of their colleagues. Denpasar is a very busy city and we needed to stay close to the airport for all our... more

Alan,Meryl and all of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, very pretty with the mosquito netting. The location was good, central to the beaches, kuta, the airport, and other interesting places. the amenities were also nice and comfortable. Best thing i think was the staff and the peacefulness, least liked i dont think there was... more

I needed something quieter than Kuta but less pretentious than Sanur, so I found this little gem on a site certifying eco-conscious hotels. The dry time of year left the surrounding bird sanctuary mostly-vacant to my untrained eyes, but the eco lodge proved a comfortable retreat for a few days. The hotel capitalizes on its hilltop location, with open-air common... more

We stayed at Udayana Eco Lodge with our 2 children aged 2 and 4 while my husband attended a workshop. It is a peaceful oasis close to the airport and other Bali attractions (beaches, temples, Ubud, cultural performances, shopping). There are many birds and other wildlife in the grounds (butterflies, snails, frogs, squirrels), and beautiful views from the upstairs restaraunt... more

This eco lodge is an oasis from the frenzy of Kuta yet so close to the airport, major beaches, shops and resorts, all reachable by an inexpensive taxi ride. The bedrooms are comfortable, air-conditioned and elegant, with private open air bathrooms lined by local coral stone walls. They are very clean, though due to the absence of noxious chemicals (the... more

I've been staying at this lodge since it opened 12 years ago and have never been disappointed. Only a short distance from Jimbaran Beach, Nusa Dua, Kuta and Uluwatu but totally secluded. Located on two and a half hectares of protected bush land, the quiet setting and abundant plant life attracts a range of birds and butterflies. Whether you want... more
