I have stayed here twice this year despite my usual policy of trying new places each trip. It is so gorgeous and such good value. The staff are mostly from the surrounding villages and they lend a really gentle and serene air to the place, they seem so content and interested in their work. The family rooms we had (Mangga... more

We stayed in three hotels in different areas of the island during our week-long trip to Bali. Our time at Alam Sari was by far the highlight. We booked the end suite room, which was huge with an outdoor bathroom and canopy bed. It was very romantic and beautiful, with a little patio overlooking a gorgeous and peaceful rice field.... more

During our visiit in Bali, we decided to stay in Alam Sari due to the great reviews and reasonable price. We stayed for 3 days, one of them was Silent Day, so we were completely stuck in the hotel (on Silent Day no one is allowed to leave hotels). The hotel is placed on the top of hill, has some... more

Stayed three days and enjoyed the comfortable, eco-friendly environment and facilities. Beautiful grounds and pool, and the staff is helpful with everything. The extra travel time to Ubud is offset by the serene setting. more

I have actually stayed at the Alam Sari twice now and am going back in November this year. I love this little boutique hotel. The staff are very kind and humble and look forward to sharing their village of Keliki with all the guests. They offer a village walk at no extra cost to all their guest and it is... more

We spent five nights at the Alam Sari Keliki. Three of us rented the villa and got a discounted price for the five night stay and the fact that we were only using two bedrooms. It was well worth it, as the villa is expansive, and we could have our continental breakfast (or dinner) right there with a view of... more

The Alam Sari is one of the hotels I staid at during my Sept. 2004 visit to Bali. It is located north of Ubud near the small village of Keliki. The location is out of the way, but the scenery is nice. Walking into Ubud is not practical & it would take over an hour. Walking back to Alam Sari... more

Dear Guests, We were alarmed upon reading this review and sincerely apologize to the reviewer for his unfortunate experience. Though Alam Sari occasionally contracts outside drivers, we are committed to hiring those that deliver guests to their destinations promptly and without hassle. The described behavior is unacceptable to us. We have addressed the Alam Sari staff about this particular incident...
