I stayed for two nights. Got a Superior with outside bath and shower. My greeting at reception was pretty good. Some nice refreshments and friendly staff. Tranquil setting. My room was a lil further towards the back so the view was not as good as it could be, given there is a magnicificent valley where some of the rooms have... More

The Alila's setting is nothing if not spectacular, particularly the famous infinity pool. The quality and cleanliness of the rooms (Stained toilet in a four star property?) and the service (Umm, does someone care to take my bags to my room?) are a bit uneven, however, although they are still very good. The restaurant is very, very good, particularly if... More

Overall this hotel was great, spectacular and the staff very efficient and friendly. It doesn't get top marks as (as one can see from the photo) there are only about 20 sunbeds for about 120 rooms, which means unless you are very central European about things and put your towel out at 0600 you don't get a sunbed. The only... More

We travelled to Alila Ubud as part of our Bali/Alila Tour of Alila Villas; (Manggis,Ubud,Soori,Uluwatu). This was our 2nd stop after our 3 night stay at Alila Manggis. After an interesting drive from West Bali we arrived at Alila Ubud. This resort had a magical entry via made paved road twisting through locally owned rice fields making it kind of a... More

We have just returned from a 4 day stay at The Alila which we thoroughly enjoyed. The Hotels setting is quite wonderful. You drive in through working rice fields that are so pretty - all the local families were tending them at the weekend. I would perhaps agree that the Hotel is a little in need of a touch of... More

Stayed at this hotel as a package of '2 Faces of Alila' and couldn't ask for more. Initially we were worried when the driver drove into a narrow lane and all we could see was padi fields. Our mind started to think that the driver is lost or bring us to somewhere else. But when finally, we reached Alila Ubud,... More

Alila Ubud is probably the lower scale of the Alila group. Having high expectations I was disappointed that it had not changed since it was the Chedi. Our room was in need of some maintence ie shower rose coming off the wall, furniture dated. Our tea and coffee facilities were not replenished at all while we stayed there. The pool is... More

Couldn't be happier with my stay here. Transfer from the airport went well. I was in a bungalow looking out over the river valley - couldn't really see or hear anyone else. Room was unbelievably comfortable. Took a while to figure out the insect netting, especially since there were no insects in the room. It was a little odd that... More

Recently stayed at this hotel with my daughter. In essence it perfectly represents Ubud- organic, stylish and quiet. Rooms are simple and stylish, dark wood, white linen used on very comfy beds. Bathrooms are small and the shower is outside; only the deluxe rooms have a bath! Please note: no rooms have TV's/DVD however if you request for one they... More

My partner and I stayed here in July 2011 for 3 nights and were suitably impressed by the hotel. The drive into the hotel is through rice fields where you can see the locals tending to their crops. Very quaint and pretty. We were welcomed warmly by both the Alila Staff and the local family of Monkeys! This was not... More
