My wife and I spent 5 days at Shinura end April-early May. Found the location great with excellent views of Mussoorie and hills around. Owner cum manager, Mr. Shipley was very pleasant and helpful - keen to do whatever possible to make guests happy. Accommodation quality average, but could be much better with a few additions / changes. The suggestions... More

Property is basic so dont expect any luxuries. Have 03 rooms and makes sense if one party books all three rooms, this will mean that whole property is with you and no other guests. Rooms are clean and Mr Shipley and his staff try their best to make your stay comfortable. Food is not that great but if you looking... More

What to expect: 1] Peace and Tranquility from the daily and Hustle & bustle of city life 2] Nature living - Green valley around with sound of river flowing below 3] Homely environment - just three rooms - hence away from the crowd. If you book all three, its all yours !! 4] Good homely food 5] Above all -... More

This retreat offers excellent quality for the price. There's no comparison to staying in a crowded, busy hotel in downtown Dehradun. After just a 15 minute drive you arrive in the foothills away from the hustle and bustle. Recently (June 2013), all the rooms have been completely renovated to bring them up to modern standards. Yet the Shinura maintains the... More

All in all Shinura Retreat is a very nice, big and beautiful farm house which is situated in a peaceful place away from the noisy Dehradun city. The house itself has to be renovated completely because it is old and soggy, specially in winters. The main thing which we liked a lot was the garden, which was very well maintained.... More

I had first heard of Shinura Natura Retreat through a small ad placed by its owner in a popular travel magazine. The ad led to a website, which had created enough interest in my mind to plan a weekend break around this place. However, when I came back to TA to look for more independent reviews, I realized that this... More
