That insatiable lust to explore, and discover something new, took us to Shaheen Bagh this weekend on a holiday. I was looking for a place amid greenery and quiet, with a luxury feel to it. Somehow, searching on the internet, I seemed to be riveted on to this place. The location seemed to be just fine, half an hour from... More

Lovely rustic rural retreat. Fabulous bird watching on walks with the staff and owners.December visit was rather chilly at night but roaring open fire in communal area was lovely. Food good both indian and continental. We were the only guests and having the place to ourselves was lovely. Building works for an extension were ongoing at time of our visit... More

Rather than face the crowds in Mussoorie, we stayed outside of Dehradun at the Shaheen Bagh and we're glad we did. It is the perfect spot for chilling out, bird watching, reading, or enjoying the surrounding countryside. It is well located for day trips into Dehradun town or Mussoorie. Food is very good, but if you want something besides Indian... More

For the weary traveler or the city-worn resident, Shaheen Bagh is a charming peaceful retreat. It is furnished with lovely antiques, creating an elegance from decades earlier, but it is still inviting and wonderfully comfortable. The communal living room has four long couches beckoning you to stretch out with a good book. An expansive veranda on the north provides a... More

Our 3 day stay in August at Shaheen Bagh is best forgotten. It is marketed as a boutique resort with impeccable service, amenities like Yoga, nature walk and a huge collection of movies. After all the great reviews on the web,we booked the Master suite. Our stay did have a good beginning with the owners literally guiding us through Rajpur... More

My husband I spent 3 days at Shaheenbagh and loved every bit of it! Shaheenbagh is a quaint bunglow that's done up very artistically. The rooms are lovey and thematic - blue room / green room etc. What takes you by surprise is the gigantic books and DVD collection on the first floor. Spoilt for choice would be an understatement!... Shaheen Bagh is a lovely resort, well connected from Rajpur road yet secluded. The USP of the place is the personal presence and hospitality of the owners - Sandhya and Arun. It's classy with an old world charm. Ideal place to relax, with nothing yet lots to do- a massive library of books and movies. The well manicured lawns in... More

If you are looking at just relaxing in the midst of nature and enjoying time with yourself, friends, family members, then I strongly recommend this place. Dont expect much to do - there is a big library with DVDs and books that you can browse through...alternatively, you can carry your own entertainment (tablet, book, cards...whatever works for you). This is... More

Our stay at Shaheen Bagh was selected after reading a lot of good reviews on TripAdvisor. Exactly as we had expected...this property is a hidden gem in the middle of forests around 25 km from Dehradun. First the property... vintage, luxurious, comfortable. The verandahs offer breathtaking views of the distant hills amidst pristine clouds. In the night, fireflies gave us... More
