Upon my arrival I thought this hotel was OK. I got a ganga facing room. The view was nice, and it was easier to walk to the ghats. This place turned out to be a hell. Firstly I got a pickup from the train station. The driver was rude and demanded a tip, even after paying 250rs(which is a lot).... More

Had the pleasure of staying in this hotel at the start of the year. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the river Ganges. The room was air-conditioned and was clean. The restaurant located upstairs served good value food and also had an incredible view. I would stay here again/

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The food in the restaurant is of great value and the Cook himself is a fantastic guy! Always smiling and very honest! The location is very near the main ghat, and many rooms have a beautuful view on the Ganga river!

I travelled for the Khumb Mela by myself, a single white female. I booked a river view on MakeMyTrip knowing that there would be hoards of travellers and quite a view from my room. I called several times to confirm my booking prior to arrival. The hotel tried to cancel my reservation after payment was made. I called MMT who... More

For me, who got to know Banaras/Varanasi through Ray films ‘Aparajito’ and ‘Joy Baba Felunath’ at a very young age, the image of the place grew in me and I it made me feel strangely familiar without even been physically visited. Then, there were the much published photographs of Raghu Rai and the likes to portray Benares in the most... More

Its a very average hotel but very well placed. A few changes in attitude and little change here and there can make it a real value for money. I had booked an ac heritage room, but when we checked in we were given a room which was as small as 8ft x 7ft with a minuscule of a bathroom. More... More
