The Ganges View Hotel (not Holy Ganges) is a wonderful converted haveli full of quirky charm and more than a hint of a stay at grandma's house. The rooms are cute, oddly shaped, and eclectically furnished. Ours was on the top floor and had a good view of Assi Ghat. Beds are comfortable, a/c is adequate (we visited in the... More

We read all good reviews about the restaurant of this hotel, so we decided to have lunch at the Holy Ganges View. We wanted to visit the restaurant of the hotel. The staff and the manager of the hotel told us that outside guest are not welcome in the restaurant! I find this a little bit strange. Hospitality service is... More

We stayed here for a few nights in April. What a great experience! The people were super friendly and hospitable. The food was amazing as well. The view from the terrace and top rooms is awesome, your an see all the way down the Ganges and overlook the Assi Ghat. It's a great place to relax while watching the bustle... More

Hotel Ganges View is a stunning, historical guesthouse perfectly situated on Assi Ghat. Our room had a small terrace which afforded wonderful river views. The rooms and surrounds are tastefully decorated. You feel as though you have gone back in time. The vegetarian buffet dinner is superb. Staff were attentive and kind. The resident Daschunds were an added surprise. There... More

A boutique hotel on the Assi Ghat, this is a beautiful Haveli that has been turned into a hotel! It has an excellent view, nice location. The place has been done up brilliantly, the interiors, the decor everything has a touch of traditional Indian royalty to it! The stay comes with complimentary dinner and breakfast which is Absolutely Delicious, we... More

The best thing is the location, the terrace overlooks the Ganges. A small guesthouse, originally a private house. There was a large group staying so we were given a rather small twin room at the back with a small basic shower room, it had a/c and was probably in fact quieter. Because of the timings of our guided trips we... More

The palace has beautiful terraces and enticing views. The ghat just opposite to the building is possibly the poshest one in town. Our room was ok, bathroom small and not very functional (overflowed after each shower). The atmosphere is somehow "genuine" but the place would significantly improve if managed by professionals. Breakfast is overrated and dinner is uninspiring.

This is a normal backpackers hotel not a hawali ,and it has posted pictures of a neighbouring hotel, ganges view.PLESE make sure you are not booking this hotel as we did by looking at the picture and ending up with paying thrice the price for the property.Hotel, food and rooms are bad.. only good thing is location.

Hello, This hotel is a backpacker hotel and rooms are bad. Trip Advisor that I trust this time has done a critical mistake with Mixing these 2 hotels. They have put the photos of Ganges View hotel which is very nice hotel to Holi Ganges view which is not nice at all. We came with a 7 month old baby... More

This was the first hotel we stayed in on this trip to India and was the best. Great location, loads of character, nice staff and fantastic vegetarian food. The Indian breakfast option was delicious! The room was large and comfortable and quiet. The views from the terraces are fantastic. Go for an upper floor room if you can.
