The Jukaso Ganges hotel is a great hotel right on the river Ganges and only 15 minutes boat ride (it is only accessible by boat). The location is very convenient, next to a palace, and just 10 - 20 minutes boat ride from other ghats along the river. The rooms are clean and I recommend rooms on the top level.... More

The hotel is old and full of character, including a 700 year-old shrine and lots of well-preserved or refurbished decorative stonework, but this does not make it a 4-star facility as advertised. It is at the quieter, less touristy end of the ghats and is the only building that we saw with shrubs planted outside. Our bed was comfortable, albeit... More

I stayed at Jukaso from April 2nd to 4th. My friend and I were there for a small holiday. Before we were leaving for Banaras my family and friends warned me about it being an unsafe place for two women to travel. However our experience there was completely opposite of what we heard. And I give huge credit to this... More

There were not a lot of hotels on the Ganges. This is one of them. It was an incredible way to experience Varanasi. It gave you the option to start the day with a walk by the Ganges, and then get lost in the best of ways in the "narrows" of Varanasi that make this place an incredible adventure. We... More

Loved staying here - the building is beautiful & the location is excellent. It's only a 5 minute walk to the cremation ghat & it's fun to take the boat to & from the hotel. The restaurant is basic but the view alone makes everything forgivable. It can be a bit noisy with all the action on the river so... More

We checked in for 2 nights and wished we had another couple at the time of checking out. The location is the best thing to boast of, accessible only by boat or a good 0.8km walk from the nearest traffic accessible road. We were courteously received at Rajghat once we arrived at Varanasi railway station. The best way to reach... More

we stayed here for 2015 Holi, the hotel is nicely located on the river and yet not far from the hustle and bustle of Varanasi which can be over powering if you are visiting the city for the first time and takes a day or two to soak in to live with all the rush, the lanes are frozen in... More

We only had one night to spend in Varanasi, so I was glad our friends booked this hotel for us. It's an easy walk along the ghats to see the cremation site (which is probably why many tourists are visiting Varanasi), and the view of the river, day and night, was very pretty. Our room was well-equipped with all the... More

We stayed here because it was the only hotel we could find on short notice when visiting the city on business. I generally would not stay on the Ganges...all the guesthouses I have seen have been very sketchy. This boutique hotel, accessible only by boat, is very special and I would definitely visit again. It is very basic but has... More

The position is just about the only thing it has going for it.. But having said that it is the location that is important in a two day visit.. So all else becomes rather irrelevant The outside and inside are rather beautiful.. Rooms are fine except the bathroom takes the worldwide prize in its ghastly impractical design The problem is...
