We spent two lovely nights here at this wonderfully located hotel. It is right on one of the ghats of the Ganges and only a few hundred metres from the main ceremonial and cremation sites. It is only reachable by boat, but this, in itself, is a great experience. The hotel is full of character and offers great vantage points... More

Not a business hotel, access is only through boat so sometimes it gets annoying as it takes good 20 minutes to reach the ghat where vehicles are allowed. They have limited rooms and even limited staff. Service is poor and for the most part they are out of stock on everything. This being a heritage property which is renovated, not... More

Wonderful historic hotel on the Ganges with impeccable service. Utterly beautiful and inspiring. A couple of things to be aware of - you can't reach the hotel by road - you have to call for the hotel boat to pick you up. Also the restaurant is not licensed and the wifi only works on the top floor. Despite that I... More

The location and building itself is good. Service is very attentive. Quality of fixtures, fittings and general finishing is unfortunately quite limited. This is one of the best accommodation options for Varanasi, but it falls well short in of the standards of other up market destinations on the golden triangle route. The hotel provides a complimentary shared boat for seeing... More

When we arrived into Varanasi yesterday our taxi driver kindly called the Jukaso Hotel to arrange our boat pick up from one of the nearby driveable ghats. An hour later we arrived and had the taxi driver call the hotel again to check the boat ride. The hotel person said the boat should arrive within 10 minutes. We waited for... More

Friendly and welcoming hotel with great staff. We had a room on the top floor (Room 402) near the restaurant and stayed 2 nights in a Deluxe room which was very comfortable. The hotel has several outdoor seating areas all with river views and is well located for the evening "Aarti" event. Food was excellent and reasonably priced although the... More

Yes, the building is impressive in both its location on by being on the ghats.... and also in its architectural heritage but it was also our worst hotel during a three week trip to India and Nepal. The room itself was fine and the inner courtyard, with local musicians, created an air of sophistication. BUT...possibly because there are few rooms,... More

we have spent two days only in this wonderful Hotel but the experience was excellent. The perfect location, right on the Gange river, contributed to live the incredible feeling that Varanasi emanates. The Hotel staff was very helpful, the room very clean and the rooftop restaurant a gem. At night dinner has a whoel different taste, when you dine with... More

We stayed for two nights and we're delighted with the hotel, which was a tranquil respite situated on the Ganges. The staff were highly attentive, friendly and accommodating. There were a few things that were not available but overall they didn't matter. The public areas are beautifully kept with a shrine on the second floor.usicians played traditional music enhancing the... More

First of all, this is a really nice hotel. An old renovated havali located right on the Ganges. Considering the high price tag our expectations were also very high - and haven't been fully met. We did a tour of India and have stayed at many different guesthouses, this being by far the most expensive and unfortunately also the lowest... More
