The city of Varanasi is a bit chaotic and you need a place which is quiet, yet well connected and central; a place that has excellent facilities yet is not super-expensive; a place that is professionally managed yet had the charm of almost being home. The Homestay at Varanasi was all of that and more, during my visit of 3... More

We felt right at home here. In particular, we enjoyed our family-style meals, shared with both our hosts (Harish and his family), and fellow travelers. The mood was always friendly, and conversation easy and often even enlightening. We dined with Russians, Kiwis, Danes and other Americans. We highly recommend eating both breakfast and dinner here. Harish, the owner/operator of Homestay,... More

The hospitality at this homestay was amazing. Harish and his wonderful family took great care of us and we felt warmly welcome. Harish was very kind and provided excellent help with all sorts of practical arrangements. If you get the chance, join the dinner. The food was delicious =)

Everything here is has been provided to maximise the enjoyment of your stay, from the ever-present transport facilities to the homemade food. Varanasi is a chaotic and intriguing city full of experiences just waiting to happen. Of course the ghats on the Ganges are the main attraction but we found the labrynth of alley ways even more adventurous and interesting. Getting lost and finding great cafes (Blue Lassi) and eating tasty street food for just a few cents kept us coming back... More

Thanks a lot Dear Guest, For taking time to write for our services at Homestay. Thanks for praising for my arrangements for the sight seeing and walking tour, however as you have found me to be arrogant, in my consciousness i do not ever remember behaving arrogantly with any of my guest but after all ours is a hospitality which involves human... This is a great base for your stay in Varanasi. Like the old part of Varanasi its alittle difficult to negotiate your way to, but you will find all you need once you arrive. Harish and his family will cater for all your needs and the rooms are well maintained and more than comfortable with a/c, wifi and warm showers.... More

Enjoyed our stay with Harish. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The location was a little far from the center but it was nice to walk through the mayhem of Varanasi (if you are feeling brave and if it´s in the day time) or Harish will arrange a driver for you for a small fee. The breakfasts were very... More

My wife and I spent three nights at the Homestay in February 2014 and we will never forget our visit. We thought Varanasi was incredible and to stay at the Homestay was the icing on the cake. We are a very well travelled couple but we both agree that for hospitality and amazing home-cooked food the Homestay comes out tops.... More

Thank you so much Harish and Marika (spelling?!), we had a wonderful stay! We stayed 6 nights here, and it wasn't too long at all. Varanasi is an amazing place and a month would be even better. The best thing about staying at the Homestay however, is having the benefit of Harish's advice and help on what to do and... More
