This is an affordable, no-frills hotel. I wouldn't say our room was dirty, but it could've been cleaner. Very pleased with the restaurant: good food, great prices, friendly staff. The front desk staff was also helpful and courteous, as were the tour guide employees (different from hotel desk staff). Good location too: 10-15 minutes by rickshaw from the ghats. All... More

We stayed for three days in this hotel and we felt quite satisfied. The location is convenient, the area is quiet and not far from the ghats by rickshaw.Rooms are clean and confortable and if you request it , they have cleaning service every day. Breakfast is abundant and varied and the staff is very helpful , specially a girl... More

In May 2014 I stayed here one week. The 1st day I arrived, the tourist office of Buddha hotel, mr. Raju, connected me to Rahul Cristoforo (www.streetwisevaranasi.com) who guided me around during my full stay. He showed me the beauty of Varanasi, including its hidden treasures. He learned me how to negotiate, explained me about the Hindu religion, its Gods... More

The city of Varanasi can boast in being one of the oldest cities in the world. Our stay was reserved for Hotel Buddha during this visit. First the positives. The hotel is a centralised location and has easy access to Auto/Cycle rickshaw should you need one. The front office staff and the transport coordinator are very courteous and helpful, giving... My room was very clean. Bed was comfortable, especially the pillow [its very important for me] was nice and comfortable. Management and staff are extremely nice and very willing to address any problem and/or request. Since I did not eat there I cannot comment on the food quality but I did peak in the dinning area, it appeared very clean.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights The staff were amazing and friendly and vet eager to help. The tourist info was excellent and we had a guide from the hotel (pravan) who was fantastic. Highly recommend for this in itself. Rooms a little dirty with dirty sheets but overall a great stay and would definatley recommend.

For those looking for accommodation at a reasonable price, Hotel Buddha is an excellent choice. There is a decent selection of stalls, shops and restaurants around the hotel, and it is just a tuk-tuk ride away from the ghats. The room we stayed in was reasonably large, was always kept clean and had a TV and free wifi. The free... More

The rooms themselves were a bit dark and characterless. Not the greatest comfort. But the 30 minute walk from the ghats kept some of the noise away (there was always a consistent beeping outside, no matter what time, but that's typical of the city). The front desk people and bellhops were quite attentive and very helpful, organizing a car to... More
