The hotel is located between Agra's fort and Taj Mahal, within 5 minutes drive from both. The way to the hotel might look somewhat suspicious, because at the end of a muddy path off the road, but it reveals a really clean and quiet hotel with really friendly and helpful staff who speak good English. The air conditioning was dead... More

We chose this hotel for a fleeting visit to Agra. Positives: - The location is perfect for visiting the Taj Mahal. We were able to walk to the main gate in about ten minutes early in the morning for a sunrise visit. - The room was big and clean. - AC worked. - Curtains dark. Negatives: - We used the... More

This hotel is a stand-out in its class. Clean, comfortable & quiet & within walking distance to the Taj Mahal. Even the Red Fort is only about a 20 minute walk through the gardens adjacent to the Taj Mahal. (Shahjahan Park) Staff are friendly (especially Mayank) and always ready to help in any way they can. It was everything that... More

Me & my girlfriend stayed at the RoM in June and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Having been in India for a week or so and travelled to a few hotels this was easily the best one we've stayed in. Our room was very comfortable with a/c which in 48 degree heat was a must! We had a lovely en-suite bathroom... More

Ray of Maya (not to confused with sister hotel Maya Hotel across the road) is a new hotel in Agra, which we would highly recommend. It was down a (very) short dirt track, but this meant that there was no street noise in the rooms, a blessing in India. Our room was nice with powerful a/c and a good bathroom.... More

We spend a very good time in Ray of Maya. They treat us really good, the staff is very nice and helpful, specially Mayank the manager. The rooms have AC, TV and a very good shower. I recommend to stay in this place to everybody, families, couples and backpackers.

Very happy with this hotel. Very helpful staff. We arrived early in the morning, about 8.30am, but our room was ready for us within half an hour. We went across the road to the Maya restaurant and had a lovely breakfast while we waited. We returned for dinner on the rooftop restaurant that evening which was delicious and accompanied by... This is the strangest little hotel. Inside, it's perfectly adequate. Clean; well-kept; friendly staff. Check-in took a very, very long time. Check-out was swift and accommodating - we left at a very early hour and were glad for the no-fuss check-out process. Outside, it's just about impossible to find. It's set back from the street, so one must walk across... More

this is a perfect hotel if you are in agra to see the Taj Mahal. Within walking distance, and the road is navigatable, the rooms are clean, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The owner even allowed us to use a vacant room to shower in after we had checked out because we had gotten dirty playing the... More

Was a little pricey for the usual 3 star hotel but nice place. As others have written, its a long dark walk at night down a little dog-poop filled path to get here from the main street. and no restaurant here, you have to go back down the poop path and cross the street to eat at the sister hotel's...
