We spent three wonderful days here when visiting our daughter who was working on a project in Agra. It was a great opportunity to experience India away from the commercialism of large hotels. The food we were offered was beyond our expectations and the peaceful and safe accommodation was the perfect place to return to after a day visiting amazing... More

We visited Agra for 3 days in October 2014 and stayed at Arcadia. We were looked after very carefully and kindly with lovely home made local food. It is a very secure setting with a sitting room and shady places to sit outside. The personal touch is always welcome in terms of advice and organising transport and activities. Chanda is... More

I came to Arcadia on a one-night trip from Delhi, to see the sights of Agra. Chanda was an excellent and engaged host: she offered advice on what to see, and helped to arrange transportation in the form of an honest autorickshaw driver for the day. There was good home-cooked food on offer, and I was able to check out... More

It was the second time I stayed at Arcadia Agra in May 2014. On this occasion, I was accompanied by a colleague. We had to conduct field work for a project within a short span of 2 days. Mrs. Singh and her family made us feel like her own family and we felt imediately at home. We ate excellent food,... More

I always stay at Arcadia when I am in Agra - which is for about three or four months a year! I stay with them because they are genuinely concerned about their guests and go to a lot of trouble to make sure that they have a good stay - not only while they are inside the house but also... More

We'd had a pretty stressful journey from Delhi and Chanda made us feel like family the minute we walked in. We shared in her sons birthday celebrations, ate amazing home cooked food, enjoyed the company of other guests and slept brilliantly in the comfy bed. You just must go!

We loved our stay at the Arcadia Homestay in Agra, for lots of reasons! It is a true homestay, you share the home of the lovely Chanda. Rooms open onto a common area/dining room - which looks out onto a small walled garden. Teak doors and trim, marble floors and fresh white walls make it a cool, quiet retreat from... More

A welcome place from busy Agra. We stayed four nights at this lovely home stay. We felt safe, comfortable and welcomed. It was a little ways away from everything (which ment we felt safe and it was quiet at night. We did need a driver to get around). Chanda is a lovely host and I enjoyed spending time chatting with... I am carrying out research for a PhD in Agra so I visit the city regularly, for long periods of time. This would be unbearable if I had to stay in a lonely, seedy hotel but Chanda and family make my visits a pleasure. Leaving is always bitter sweet because I am returning to one family but leaving another. I... More

It was a pleasure to visit the Taj one more time and of course, I decided to stay at "Chanda's Arcadia home-stay". For me, a senior citizen, it was a home away from home. I was very well cared for and was given willing assistance to do and see all that i had planned! I also met very interesting people.... More
