After a long drive through dusty and bad roads, this resort is an oasis. As you drive off the main road and wind your way past a pond with water birds and green fields, you start to relax. There were a bunch of people who welcomed us, insisted we have piping hot tea to soothe our jangled nerves, while we... More

Our family of four (children 5 & 10) stayed in a family room with two extra beds for two nights. The room was comfortable and had a big bathroom with shower and a small private yard. Electricity was on and off, but a back-up generator was used during mornings and evenings if needed. The hotel is secluded, but if there... More

We booked one night at the Chambal Safari Lodge with INDIA ODYSSEY TOURS in FEB. IT is a nice hotel with good service· Just about half an hour driving to the CHAMBAL SAFARI. Very convenient. By the way, since it is close to the forest, you should bring some mosquito repellent.

We brought our friends and family to Chambal on our trip to India for our wedding. Everyone just loved it!! It's an amazing oasis, away from chaos of Agra (which is also amazing in its own way) with lots of nearby adventures. We absolutely loved the food - fabulous Buffett meals we all enjoyed thoroughly! The rooms were spacious, clean... More

Stayed for 2 nights. We had booked a lodge in the grounds but were given a large room in the main building (we assume this was an upgrade). Very comfortable and as you would expect, very quiet. Lunch is taken outside, with breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Everything is buffet. We found the food rather bland, presumably if you... More

I will start by saying we had a great stay here. The cottage was spacious and well equipped but very very cold. When we first went in to the room it had a heater there but later, when we went to put it on it had vanished. They did put a hot water bottle in the bed each night, and... More

We spent one night here, would have like to have spent more! The room was great with fine handmade furniture, sofa and twin beds. The bathroom was modern with a lovely shower. The rooms are hidden in the grounds surrounded by trees. Lunch was eaten outside the main building with the evening meals eaten inside the main building. Food good.... More

We had a brief but eventful stay at the lodge. Eventful as the fog had rolled in and blanketed everything with a thick layer. Cutting visibility down to 5m. Each room at the lodge is an individual experience. Rustic in the fashion of asian travel 20-30 years ago. The food at the lodge was amazingly authentic, rather than tourist oriented.... More

We stayed two nights. We did a river safari on the Chambal river in the morning and visited the scenic and fascinating Bateshwar temples on the sacred Yamuna river in late afternoon. The wildlife/bird viewing on the Chambal was excellent and we got great photos and video. The Lodge is very pretty with tall trees and lush vegetation. There are... More
