I love the stillness on site at this lodge, very calm and Indian. Good food, clean and spacious rooms, good shower and toilets and plenty of friendly staff. Trip to Chambal river and did spot a dolphin along with crocs and gharials (local sort of croc ish). Lots of birds. Ghagindra is a great naturalist and very patient. Had several... More

This is a hidden gem. The owner, Ram Pratap Singh, has put in a lot of thoughtful effort to make this a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The grounds are beautiful. Lunch is taken, weather permitting, on the well kept lawns. Birds abound, and often the antelope are grazing on the fringes. The dining hall is in the main house. The... More

I stayed here 10 days back for 2 night. Beginning was not pleasant as it took 2hrs to reach to this place which is 65 km from Agra due to pathetic road condition. Once I reached warm welcome by about 7 people and best part no check in required, great. Quite surrounding and Chirping of the bird was soothing. Reached... More

This is a lovely resort, just a few cabin rooms in the midst of gardens and forest. The rooms are large, as are the baths, and there is a porch in front and and even larger one in back. The porch included two cots and chairs, just in case you want to sleep or nap outside. The staff is wonderful... More

We first heard about this wonder in the woods from friends of ours who visited sometime last year. Even as we were booking ourselves in for the long weekend this October, we wondered whether one had to be a die hard naturalist (I confess we aren't) to be able to truly appreciate what this place has to offer. The hospitality... More

Chambal Safari Lodge was excellent! Our semi-detatched cottage, Hornbill, felt as if it was isolated on the edge of a forest even though we shared a wall and a veranda with the next cottage. The accommodation was spotless, the furnishings very comfortable. The literature about the lodge, the local area and wildlife which was provided for us in the room... More

this is a well maintained lodge with great access to the chambal river. very comfortable, not overly lavish. we loved the bathrooms and the large courtyards with charpoys. the furnishings were selected with care. but the big thing about this place is the wildlife it offers inside the property (civets jumping along the trees, mongooses, fruit bats, jackals) and outside... A lovely lodge surrounded by trees and full of birds. There is a colony of flying foxes (a species of bat) within the woodland over 100 strong. They cause no noise or disturbance. It is a short walk from the nearby village where you can get a real feel of Indian village life. Be careful where you walk though if... More

Well! This place is a hidden gem when it comes to a short break from Delhi. Somehow this place is not a very famous destination, may be that is a deliberate to avoid rush which is imperative to maintain the tranquility of this place. to begin with, allow me to tell more about the route. in 3-4hrs max, you are...
