We had a lovely cottage with a seating at the front and a view of roosting flying foxes, and a terrace at the back with table and day beds for relaxing. The highlight here is the setting, which is rural tranquillity. The resident naturalist took us around the ground to show us the wildlife, including spotted owlets and civit cats.... More

We had a bungalow set in the trees and awoke to peacocks calling and antelope peering shyly through the forest at us. Old fashioned ceiling fan kept us cool without the need for aircon. This is an ecolodge so don't expect the Hilton, but it has all you need, including wifi at the main lodge. Food, although a touch pricey,... More

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival after the bumpy journey from Agra. Very pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. Food was delightful. River safari was by far the best trip. Enjoyed the Bateshwar temples at sunset ( taken by our own guides). The camel safari was good however the jeep safari was of more interest for bird watchers... More

We were shattered by the time we arrived. The road from Agra was very bumpy and took much longer than expected. However,it was well worth it and we loved our three night stay. The cottages were superb and tastefully decorated and there were lots of areas to sit out and enjoy the peace. The mattresses were the most comfortable we have... More

If you like nature and wildlife this is a great place to stay. A park like setting, comfortable cottages, good food. And an opportunity for river safaris on the Chambal river. Huge bats just outside my cabin, coming in early in the morning; two types of owls on the grounds of the lodge. On the river, many species of birds,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in the middle of our India trip and absolutely loved it. The rooms are slightly on the basic side but have authentic charm and character. The grounds of the property are a complete oasis and the perfect place to sit and relax in the warm sunshine. If you like wildlife, especially birds, then this... More

We stayed for 2 nights at Chambal in late February and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The morning river trip produced the goods in terms of sightings of birds and mammals including a wild cat. The evening trip to the temples was atmospheric. The guide was excellent. It has an informal setting with excellent food. The management was hands on it... More

After a long drive through dusty and bad roads, this resort is an oasis. As you drive off the main road and wind your way past a pond with water birds and green fields, you start to relax. There were a bunch of people who welcomed us, insisted we have piping hot tea to soothe our jangled nerves, while we... More

Our family of four (children 5 & 10) stayed in a family room with two extra beds for two nights. The room was comfortable and had a big bathroom with shower and a small private yard. Electricity was on and off, but a back-up generator was used during mornings and evenings if needed. The hotel is secluded, but if there... More

Just stayed one night in this lovely lordge yesterday. I found it charming with the old fashion decorations. There is also a lot of wild animals around the property which are all very interesting. The breakfast was simple and fresh. You can sat around bonfire at night with a cup of good tea. My agent India odyssey tour booked this... More
