We stayed two nights. We did a river safari on the Chambal river in the morning and visited the scenic and fascinating Bateshwar temples on the sacred Yamuna river in late afternoon. The wildlife/bird viewing on the Chambal was excellent and we got great photos and video. The Lodge is very pretty with tall trees and lush vegetation. There are... More

Stayed here for couple of days in December'14 and the stay was wonderful. The ambience of the place is great and we were in the Gharial suite in the Mela Kothi block. Easy access to library, dining hall and the sprawling lawns. It's a boon during the chilly and foggy winters. The decor of the room was good with the... More

Heard about the place from a friend and landed up in December. Excellent place! The rooms were well appointed and clean, the gardens were well manicured. The food was great too! The main attraction is the bird sanctuary and the icing on the cake is the boat safari on the river, if you are lucky you might see some fresh... More

The resort is a typical Haveli setup and is one of the finet ones!! The best part about the place is the Service - Truly World class!! I do not remember a instance where the staff said No to my requests.. The Guides / Help Staff / Cook took care of us extraordinarily.. We did Chambal Safari / Bateshwar Temple... More

Stayed here to visit the religious fair in Bateshwar & wish we'd booked for longer. Our characterful lodge was spacious, with beautiful traditional furniture, fans & air conditioning, & a very large bathroom/wet room. It supplied good quality toiletries & attention to detail throughout, including fresh flowers. There are lovely outdoor spaces for drinking, chatting & eating lunch with other... More

I love the stillness on site at this lodge, very calm and Indian. Good food, clean and spacious rooms, good shower and toilets and plenty of friendly staff. Trip to Chambal river and did spot a dolphin along with crocs and gharials (local sort of croc ish). Lots of birds. Ghagindra is a great naturalist and very patient. Had several... More

This is a hidden gem. The owner, Ram Pratap Singh, has put in a lot of thoughtful effort to make this a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The grounds are beautiful. Lunch is taken, weather permitting, on the well kept lawns. Birds abound, and often the antelope are grazing on the fringes. The dining hall is in the main house. The... More

I stayed here 10 days back for 2 night. Beginning was not pleasant as it took 2hrs to reach to this place which is 65 km from Agra due to pathetic road condition. Once I reached warm welcome by about 7 people and best part no check in required, great. Quite surrounding and Chirping of the bird was soothing. Reached... More

This is a lovely resort, just a few cabin rooms in the midst of gardens and forest. The rooms are large, as are the baths, and there is a porch in front and and even larger one in back. The porch included two cots and chairs, just in case you want to sleep or nap outside. The staff is wonderful... More
