Kings Cliff - A stay in the colonial style cottage rooms beautifully decorated rooms with pretty queen bed adorned with hanging frills around. A special mention of : 1. The fireplace in the rooms & the restaurant to keep us warm. 2. Very soothing & entertaining live music in the evenings. 3. The absolutely yummy soup suggested by the attendant... More

Good ambience lovely old house .Very good choice of food. The food is good. They took 1 hour 15 minutes to serve the starters. We have been going there probably the last ten years every month because our children were studying in The Lawrence school. It was a year since we last went. But now it is getting commercial and... The hotel has a nice Victorian appeal to it, the old world charm is sprinkled in every aspect of their hospitality from the fire place to the buffet room to the furniture on the lawn everything has a vintage look and it is very well maintained. the rooms though not huge are spacious enough, like I said they come with... Kings Cliff was a different experience.. A nice colonial mansion converted into a B&B place.. The architecture was really nice.. The rooms are named after Shakespearean characters.. Cosy and comfortable, with fireplaces and all.. The best part about this place is the food.. They have a glasshouse restaurant and the food was yummy.. They have Indian and continental food with... At the time of booking promised me a cottage with a sit-out. When I reached the hotel to check they took me to a dark and depressing room. When I said that this wasn't what I was told at the time of booking they denied making any such claim. Then they offered me another room which is supposedly garden facing... More

Dear Guest, at the outset I am very sorry that you had a bad experience with us. When a guest has specifically requested the garden facing room we always make a note of the same and provide the same to the guest. In your case when you had made the booking we had all the rooms available. We would have... More

This review is only for the food not hotel rooms, although the ambiance is beautiful with colonial era furniture and building, which i really love, they have preserved that era in there. when i went there first time, i did not expect the food to be so amazing. Due to my special liking for north indian food, i ordered that and... More

A 150 years old cottage where history comes live, colonels used to stay here during second world war. Each room named after Shakespearean characters and they truly reflect old world charm, we loved our stay and certainly would love to visit again!!

My wife and I spent our anniversary here. The setting is lovely. Pretty flowers on the grounds, public rooms have the feel of an old English Manor. They reminded us of a U.S. New England Inn. Real wood fires in the dining rooms and the guest rooms. On the negative side, the service was lacking. For example, there were only... More

This review is only for the restaurant and not for the hotel. We visited in May for lunch as part of day trip from Coonoor where we were staying to Ooty. Have stayed here before and this is a nice old Colonial bungalow. Food was great, tried all Indian selection and the taste was great. It seemed quite popular as... More

We stayed one night at Kings Cliff, 3 nights at Sherlock and one night at Destiny. Their properties are amazingly beautiful with an excellent view. Food is very good at all 3 properties but would rate Kings Cliff's platter the best, followed by Destiny and then Sherlock. Even though mine was a last minute booking, Anoop at Littleearth did an...
